If you want to talk about people and purchasing power, then let us talk about Indian Economy and Chinese economy in PPP terms.

Indian Eonomy in Purchasing Power Parity (PPP) is 8 Trillion $, and Chinese economy is 16 Trillion $. Only twice that of India.

I was talking about per capita. Trust me, PPP is useless when measuring a nations economic power. Except to you Indians as it rank India #3 in PPP. You guys care more about rankings for bragging purpose than have a constructive discussion. That is why many Indian members are regarded as a sad joke in this forum.

PPP is useful when India is focused on "Make in India" and when the defence equipments are made in India.

When bullets and LCAs are made in India, then PPP is what the defence budget translates too, so 40 billion becomes 160 billion $ when it comes to pay salary and purchasing goods.

U know from where the name brahmos comes , mos is for moskva river in russia and brah is brahmaputra river in india. Basically all russian technology, russians were kind, still added indian river name to the whole name to give credit to them that they didnt deserve.

Yes honestly russians are way ahead in missile technolongy there was no point for them to collaborate and work with india, the whole brahmos joint venture always sound dodgy to me. I mean every significant single piece of equipment india purchases from russia and they (india) dont have any indigenous supersonic, heck even sub sonic missiles and directly they jumped at hypersonics???!!!!!
