Don't you worry; Pakistan is craving for the same water. Don't throw up unless you will have to drink it too.About to throw up really. Indians bathing in their own filth. Then they complain why whole world laughs at them
Its the industrial waste that doesn't decomposes. 95% of the animal/human waste decomposes in 24 hours.Until unless you start closing drains, sewage canals, industrial waste this is not going to stop. If all the waste flowing in it is stopped, Ganga can clean itself within 5 years.
Not at such a high concentration with lack of oxygen. It will take 24 hours in wastewater treatment plant, where oxygen is being pumped in at million of liters per hour by huge aeriation pumps and specificaly engineered bacteria is present. Its the industrial waste that doesn't decomposes. 95% of the animal/human waste decomposes in 24 hours.
This wouldn't happen if congress govt was in power.Until unless you start closing drains, sewage canals, industrial waste this is not going to stop. If all the waste flowing in it is stopped, Ganga can clean itself within 5 years.
Yeah ashes too.Is it true there are sometimes dead bodies in the river? Like humans?
Its not as much about giving it a religious angle as saying that the onus falls on Hindus to take the initiative to clean it up. Afterall, it is a holy river for Hindus and a lot of the contributing factors to the decline of the river can be blamed on the actions of the worshippers (if not all). Even if Dalit (who are hindus) and muslims (who may not have sentimental attachment to the river) don't take up the initiative, there are other politicians nationwide, not just in UP who are Hindus and should be at the forefront of this change, not to mention the common Hindus like you and I.
I may be misplaced in how I'm saying this, but the intention is to initiate action.
All industries contributing to pollution, hindu or muslim or whoever else should be penalized.
And I'm glad someone noticed finally and wish them success in this endeavor!
Though Ill hold off on the celebration until something actually changes on the ground.
Wow..believe me I can't see these images without cringing sitting thousands of km away from it in my clean and cozy cottage. Any thought of ever visiting this place will cause me throw up. I can't imagine what kind of thoughts goes through a person mind when he or she step in this dirty water while i can imagine the stench could be smelt a few km from the river.Faith buddy..
A lot of talk and no action by the government.....
Faith is bearable but blind Faith kills.Faith buddy..
Faith is bearable but blind Faith kills.
I agree.. reminds me of this song for some reasonpoor gangs seems to carry tooo many human sins. time to kick close it for dumping your sins atleast for a year. Let the ganga first get rid of already accumulated sins.
