India's factory activity grows for first time in five months in August

Nexon EV is the best bet if you really want an EV. Platform is tried and tested. But hiccups are to be expected on any early adoption. Being an EV, hopefully those will be few. And expect only 150-200km range irl.

Kona is expensive and ZS-EV is Chinese.

Harrier is sexy. It's an exact cheap copy of land rover. Tata's engine problems have long been resolved thanks to some Engineering inputs from Jaguar.
Indeed Harrier is, but it's also bulky. It's a bit too much for my taste. Nexon has a compact design, and I like the way it looks.

Harrier uses a retuned and rebadged FIAT engine. Mated to Hyundai transmission in AT. Nothing to do with Jaguar. But the engine is more powerful and mated better than in FIAT vehicles, meaning Jeep.

I was talking of the overall architecture. Once upon a time an car was only bout the engine. Now it's not so. There are a lot of other factors where Jaguar input has been used in Harrier.
I believe even in engine some amount of fine tuning has been done by Tata team.

Most of the auto sales are not auto sales to customers but to dealer lots. Thats how india measures auto sales. While factories opened a month back they simply pushed whatever they made in to dealer lots. IN next 2 months we will know if dealers are selling any.
