What u are takig about are ideal situations.....on the other hand we live in country where both cops and politicains do face threats fronm different terror groups including moaists and LTTE who have presense in TamilNadu.

It wasn't a case of road accident where u can immdiately rush for help.That cop was reported attacked by gang of crinmals and there was bomb blasts.

Obiviously the guards took precuation and kept the ministers inside the car.In other cases ,the convey wouldnt have even stopped at the crime scene let alone help ht victim.

1. There r many LTTE supporters in Tamil Nadu, but they r non-violent. LTTE presence in the state is history.

2. Both ministers aren't in hit-list of LTTE / Moaist

3. Tirunelveli, where the incident took place is famous for these kind of gang attacks. Almost all of them are personal rivalry and not political.

Anyway, most of your points have some validity. Just blaming ministers is not fair.

First Aid could have helped the victim. But there is no concept of practicing first aid in India. Just a tourniquet tied on the leg could have saved his life.

Media should make government and public aware of importance of practicing first aid.

Local news paper in Kerala reported that he was ambushed by a gang mistaken him as another police officer..He was wearing helmet so they didnt recognizanced him..he recently got double promotion for killing Veerapan..India lost a brave soul ..People loosing humanity now a days ..There are lot of incidents here in Kerala too where people died on road bleeding blood because people dont bother to help them ...I dont know where are we heading to..but things like this make me wonder what the future will be ..

The reason I am posting this video is that unlike reported in the first post, the police's legs were not chopped, but his guts were out on the tarmac.

IMO, even if the bystanders/ministers wanted to help him, I dont think they could've saved his life.

In such situations, 90% of us will be **** scared to even go nearby. And out of rest, 90% wont know what to do. And looking at uncensored video, if they had tried to move him in that condition without on field treatment, he would have died either way.

I just cant think of any words.

How such an event has been allowed to occur.

No one gave him even First aid.

They all had phones.
I refuse to believe a Minister convoy was traveling without a medic present.

Does the bloody health Minister of Tamil Nadu not know basic first aid.

NO one tried to stop the bleeding no one even advised him to stay still, and stay down.

Could no one get on the phone with a doctor and perform First aid.

Heads must roll for this. People should not be allowed to get of Scot free such a travesty.

I feel a mass protest march is necessary but, then i am hit with the depressing realization that if people cant be bothered to save the life of a dying man.

Why would they bother with Finding justice for a Dead one.

Because the murderers were not the people who attacked him but the ones who stood by and let him die

No excuse can be made as to why it took 30 min to do something.
5 min would be shock
10 min negligence/incompetence

what excuse is there for 30 min of inaction

I know there is a law in the US for letting some one die like this.

Mate as i said in that post I am not saying about this incident..i said in general...My best friend died in road accident like this because no body came to help him afraid of legal procedures and police harrasment..he was on road for 15-20 mins..thinking about it my blood will also rise and tears come to my eyes.but who should we blame?.In the end every body has to think about himself and his family..You have no idea how the police treat us..If we admit some one injured in a road accident in a hospital the police will suspect that we are the one who caused that road accident..and their question will be like this and also we will be have to go to court as witness..and then starts the lenghty legal proceedings..People will close their eyes because of all these..

Just like the fear of unknown has always haunted human mind, the instinct of kindness and humanity has always prevailed over any such fears. Looking at the footage one can't comprehend that humanity has become so worthless, the people at the scene certainly lack the mankind value, even the guy who is giving him the water cautiously stands as if the Cop is a suicide bomber about to detonate.

This is pathetic.. For fear of police harassment? Pathetic excuse for all the coward bystanders including the media personnel, who were more keen to score a point or two by filming this pathetic video instead of trying to help. Surely cops wouldn't harass these media persons if they helped. Also if they can be sure of their safety in filming, there were certainly no demon nearby preventing people including those b@st@rd, coward ministers from helping the brave SI. I'm speechless at we India's cowardliness and lack of basic empathy.

Like I SCREAMED many times, the basic respect for human life is minimal in our country and probably in the entire south asia. The news of poor dying in heat/ cold/ flood etc are just news and numbers in the newspapers. If this is what the development and cut throat competition is doing to our morality and courage, I would rather be a cave monkey who cries if someone from his clan suffers. Shame on us humans!!

1) he was mistakenly ambushed by a gang thinking he was another police officer..The officer was wearing helmet so they didnt recoganise him..Actually the gang was worked up on the instructions of the Brother-In-Law of the police officer who they intend to ambush..

2) no action was taken yet..the ministers were defending themselves that they tried to help and its because the ambulance was late which resulted in the death

I know mate..I am not defending them..BtW how many of our police personal know first Aid in case of an accident? The minister dont even have common sense if you ask me..Belive me most of the people in Indian police dont know the basic first aid methods..and its the collector who has the brain to call the medical team ..There is a serious need of change in many things here in India mate
