My post was in regard to Manipur,wherein the nagas are Tankhul generally. The nagas of nagaland was not the point.

Truth be told, you never had the cojones of dealing with the Nagas on your own. Even now, the mere mention of Naga Peace Accord makes you tremble with fear.

There is a footprint of our king stamped on a monolith hill top in kohima after his conquest of naga hills i.e,current nagaland.

In 21st century meiteis may be known for sports & scholaristic reason in NE but back then Meitei was the most feared tribe .

The current Naga identity is a political invention,most nagas are are separate unrelated tribes from NE forcefully unified by Naga militants on behest of their leader to superimpose their power and will upon the masses .They don't even have common language .

Meanwhile,
Meetei are formed from basically games of thrones between 7 most dominant tribes .Only the fittest survived and formed the 7 meitei clans under pakhangba where each clan was banned from marrying one's own clansmen but only one of the remaining six,that's why we have unique bloodline.We all speak meitei lon or Manipur language.

Our ancient community was built through lots of bloodshed till Pakhangba united us and then meitei embarked toward feudal era and invested in deals with the genealogy, creation , cosmology, martial arts and practiced Umanglai culture ,nagas was still head hunters and one hill tribe community wouldn't know what was there in another part of manipur , let alone being compatriots like current nagas.

Our exploits in sport,education or entrepreneurship stem from our ancient umanglai culture and gene pool.
So we want to protect what is left of us before it's ruined.

Naga peace accord is simply a dirty deal between Naga gang leader and GOI over their invested interest in the region.

So what is the language and religion of the other Tribes of Manipur ?

Laws are made by the powerful and elite for their convenience,there's always ways to circumvent through them. As of now ,our biggest asset is our budding corporates,our corporates aren't govt puppets because they never received govt support at initial stages,they say they will fund the govt instead. Our society will be more like chaebol centric korean system. Gov failed us and only our corporates care about real development even if it's attached with making profit. It's group like salai and lamjingba that will lead manipur and NE to development they have to be too big and influential one day for any militant group to try and contain them.

NEIDP lead by salai holding's chief is set to replace national party by 2022 in manipur. NEIDP is a regional party with newly formed branches in assam,meghalaya tripura etc.
we don't like hindutva rss,national party will never understand or care for real indigenous people of NE. NE will much better develop and have a voice with national party like bjp and congress being wiped off the region.

NEIDP is a whole different breed of political party than NPP which is regional in just it's name .
NEIDP is abbreviation North East India Development Party and it's ideology is regionalism.Its chairman is a salai holding's chief a business men who really wants to develop whole northeast,he's not in it just for money fame or power which he already have in NE. NEIDP wants to protect the territorial integrity of the region and indigenous looks of the region. Here's a brief speech he made about his dream for bringing change in NE region during a business summit in London.

Accept the reality,the current pure politicians are corrupt to the core and simple puppets of the regime in new Delhi,they steal millions and millions of the tax money and stash it in some offshore locations or swiss banks and they are able to get away scot-free because they do the bidding for the orchestrators in new delhi in return .
The current leaders are incompetent they don't possess the vision or the will to bring serious change in the region.

There are Autonomous Councils for distinct geographic regions within our NE, to preserve our unique culture and traditions, where the locals wield enormous powers with respect to taxation and customary laws.

The Sixth Schedule of our Constitution has special provisions regarding the administration of our NE states.

More than our politicians, it's the militant leaders that are corrupt, stashing their ill gotten wealth in enemy countries, raising money via illegal taxes and forcing the locals to engage in drug cultivation. It is because of those self servient ultra leaders that the entire NE is reeling under a drug epidemic.

Pay your taxes if you want to see development in your region, BJP is going nowhere from Manipur and Assam.

bjp wins in manipur because the leaders buy votes by handing out 10k for each votes.It's not because public is so much in love with political party of rss fanatics.

There are more ST in Madhya Pradesh than whole NE combined,and we pay tax amount the same as anyone in India.
Militancy in NE is the byproduct of India govt's occupation of the region. And more militarization which is akin to bjp wouldn't solve anything,we sufferend enough from militarization,we detest it.
