Well most of the Indians also have seen that 20 years ago that they have to take permission from Reserve Bank of India for carrying more than 200 USD but now many of us are earning USD in Millions. So we know where we are but wanted to build our country better and that is race to ourselves and not to China or US.

There are many Indians who don't want to go back and may be in future, I also don't want to go but those are personal choices based on many factors and you can't say that is because of democracy or development of India.

I am not sure how many of them you met personally but I am always open for criticism. I also said that India's condition became Bad to better but for being Best, we need more than the current effort what we are doing.

As a group, we are trying our best to chose Economy focused PM, remittance and development of cities but if you think that 100 Million such people will change 1.1 Billion people then you are expecting too much.. too early. Nothing is denial but practical aspects.

In one hand he established that democracy has nothing to do with economic development. It is good governance and rule of law that ensure economic development, which I fully agree.

But in the other hand he linked democracy to failure of economic development. The two are actually independent of each other that linking the two is non-sensical.

Democracy + Better governance and Law = Europe
Authoritatrian + Better governance and Law = Singapore
Democracy + Worse governance and Law = India
Authoritatrian + Worse governance and Law = North Korea

Canada is a developed nation.
You can see elite Chinese in US will always prefer West than their motherland.
Because they are still miles ahead than us in Human development.

Well, Most of the posters here are Teenagers to very young mostly College going or early stage of Jobs so they have young blood and pre-conceived notions about the world which they got from Media. This is true for most of the posters irrespective of nationalities.
Though, there are many senior resources who understand the criticism. Also, It matters how the criticism is done. Like some Pakistani posters will go to google, search one or 2 incidents happened in India and then post here for show casing. In this case people will simply deny, not discuss.
