LOL - who is the author of this article? "Democracy is a system where a minority obey the majority to jointly administer state affairs, of which India's Western-style democracy is one type." ???

Minority rights are absolute in a democracy. This seems to come out of a communist pen without a grasp of realities.

.
Indeed. In India the undernourished, homeless, unhygienic and lower caste have all the powers to regulate their government.

Yes, they do have the right to vote

Did you not know that?..............................Ooops forgot you are from..............

That's why, for decades, they wished their conditions to remain the same. If your statement is true. I hope it is not, because, it sort of insults the intellect of the majority Indians.

Yup, their conditions have remained the same from 1947 to 2014, no change at all, no Great Leaps ;)

Alas, they have all the freedoms to remain so. That's something one would envy.

For those nations with renegade provinces, it certainly is of envy

Its perception of democracy by an Authoritarian regime.

Thats like an egg judging the hardness of a stone

Indians members, given the current situation in Hong Kong, such articles in Chinese papers are mandatory

Please understand

Let's not blame the Chinese posters here. When they join their fellow Chinese citizens and become refugees in India, they will realize the truth. Till then, they are not free enough to air what they really think.

China should know the story of a parrot in a golden cage.
Yes our democracy often hindered our economic growth.
But that democracy is the foundation Indian nationalism and diversity.
In China CCP can rule China peacefully because of their economic development. But in India democracy facilitate our economy even it has shortcomings.
And we have nice satisfaction because of our development.

This article is addresses a concern.A concern in Chinese circles because of the new GoI and its foreign and economic policies.
Dont worry babies this is just a beginning. :enjoy:

Agree with, Chinese people dislike to show off.
(except if being cornered and wronged.)

India was a great people as one of the oldest civilization.

But China card can help Indian people to scold the "corrupt" Indian politicians to introspect themselves.

India is destined to be great like their past!

China can help it too, as China and India are part of BRICS.

.
The part in bold above establishes what I wrote in my previous post.

Next, there can be no comparison between 2 systems where in one the people decide and another where they dont.

This statement is as empty as the promise of 72 virgins, and just as enticing as well. It is what's driving you democracy believers to behave and think in ways similar to radical Islam. You all believe the elusive reward, and all try to turn others into believers at all cost regardless of the reality. Think about it, what is "the people"? and who is "the people". Are you "the people"? There are 1.2 billion people in India, is everyone going to make decisions for your country? Do you really decide anything at all?

To be honest, it is Indian who are parrot in a golden cage.

Many Indians don't know the real China, but Chinese know much about India.
(you have many news about China... in the twisted and censored way)

China is not a democracy systematically country, but it doesn't mean China lack of democratic.

Both China and India are people centric country, but they are different in the way how to deliver it.

It's a Meritocracy vs Populist (democracy) thing, both have advantage and disadvatage things.

China's meritocracy lack of public election, while India's democracy lack of capability China have.

You can see how democratic China is, by seeing people satisfaction:

I don't see China lack of democratic value compare to many democracy countries.

Since you chose not to display your flags I cannot surmise where you belong to , is it embarrassing to display your nationality ?

Next, I do not recall seeking advice or opinion on how my nation is run. We are happy with it - and so is most of the civilized world.

You have no idea about democracy .That is why you are talking like this.
It is about the people attitude.Indians dont obey authoritarian style. That is why foreign invaders initial advantage lost after decades or centuries.
In India people will determine merit and quality. That is why Narendra Modi is elected as PM.
In here we can do something that is adverse to our national security. But that will increase our nationalism eventually.
That same reason enable us to destroy hundreds of insurgency.
We are not a parrot ina golden cage.
Because our government dont need a golden cage for their stability because they are elected by the same parrot means Indian voter.

Well we dont care whether Chinese have awareness about us or not.We have employed some brilliant people for that.Tbey will do it whatever it required

You are not Kolaps!

What did you do to him? Where is he burried?

The real Kolaps would not write what you just did!

I know what I'm talking about.

Look at my flags! ;)

It is about the people attitude.Indians dont obey authoritarian style. That is why foreign invaders initial advantage lost after decades or centuries.

Confucianism is a very people-centric ideology,...

But it doesn't mean Chinese people lack of a culture to obey the law if the cause is for good.

In India people will determine merit and quality. That is why Narendra Modi is elected as PM.

I call it as Democracy Illusion.

I'm suggesting you to visit mainland China, when you return back to India, you will lose all your confident about India.

The different is so huge, that is the true meritocracy!

In here we can do something that is adverse to our national security. But that will increase our nationalism eventually.
That same reason enable us to destroy hundreds of insurgency.

The different between India and China,

No one want to hurt India, while China invited a lot of unnecessary attention.

India have many rebellions, but none of them supported by foreign countries, and most people around the world don't aware.

China only have two, Tibet and Xinjiang, but the news are everywhere. And the forces are very strong.

Mainland China does have public election too, in the village, people vote for their village head.

But in big picture, Meritocracy vs Populism (democracy) are different thing.

Both have advantages and disadvantages.

Well we dont care whether Chinese have awareness about us or not.We have employed some brilliant people for that.Tbey will do it whatever it required

Chinese people very aware about India.

Although they don't discuss it a lot.

You are absolutely wrong .

Even Chinese know that. You have meritrocracy both in wanted and unwanted place. But we have meritrocracy in necessary core field and posts.Recent standoff between India and China is dealt by our NSA not by the so called politicians.
Have you ever heard about our NSA Ajit Doval?
If you dont then check google you will get the answer.
That is what we called as merit. The persons who rotate our Govt wheels is civil service persons or bureacrats.
They are the spine of the Indian democracy. But if you want to become an IAS or any other civil service section you should have years of effort.
The programs created by them is delivered to the people in the name of politicians. We know that and we are happy with that.
Unwanted meritrocracy would backfired in long term.
Lol you cant compare village level so called voting with our
universal franchise that have capacity to create an entire new government for our nation.
India is our nation having lot of beliefs and emotions yet brilliant citizens. You cant enforce your views on them .Because they always have their own independent perspective.
In democracy development is somewhat slower than an aristrocratic nation. But each of the development in democracy would be with a solid base and foundation with full consent from majorities.
So we will always have a balanced development.

World dont need to concern about protests in India because we dont roll our tanks against protestors. And they have full faith in the healing power of democracy .

Look at the middle east .Oil money and richness couldnt suppress the people hopes for a democracy.

Peoples opinion are like a flowing water.Dictorship would establish a dam across that water stream and can use ontheir own wish. But when dam faces a weakness water will force its entire potenntial for the destruction of dam.
But democracy ensure that free flow of stream .

China did a lot odf good development.
But can you explain the mass emigration Chinese elite in to US? A lot of thread about that in here .
Womens from Chinese will travel for US because their baby would get US citizenship if they deliver in US Why is that?

And yes China did a lot of good devopment

@nair @SpArK @acetophenol @abjktu @kurup and others your opinions please.
