Why can't Bharat settle its issues with Pakistan to join CPEC? Bharat is a very rich and strong country. Its involvement in CPEC will benefit all.

If India is out of both, it will isolate itself from its region. Unless you consider India's region to be limited to only South Asia. And even then, you have no relations with the second largest country in SA. And as for others, it will always remain a tussle between India and China in those smaller nations. Odds will mostly favor China as its got a lot if money to invest. Everyone wants investments.

If India cant see this blatant reality now, it will in the next few years.
