India's bid for NSG: Members countries talking about alternate plan if China remains unmoved

Seems China just won't let India get on with its strategy of non alignment 2.0.

The die is cast.

Chinese only making sure its monopoly in Pakistan nuclear program

Whereas india has free to trade any nuclear power it wants with its NSG wavier

.
For what india already has waiver from NSG. So chinese efforts are useless and bad diplomacy
Ruining diplomatic & economic ties for no gain

Hardly. Diplomacy is based on flexing one's muscles, muscles which China has painfully gained and rightfully deserved. Every sneeze from Pakistan incurs a Bollywood song sort of a reaction from the Indian diplomatic offices. From spending tons of money to lobby against minuscule military deals to not knowing one's place and demanding uninterested countries to not deal with Pakistan, all ending in a comical summoning of ambassadors. But that 'bad diplomacy', nay hilariously failed diplomacy, is hailed as accomplishments by your countrymen on this very forum. For what? Steroid shots to an insecure sense of self importance?

China on the other hand is a dog from bigger fights. It is in the place where India wants to pretend to be. 1) It is enforcing it's rightful place in the diplomatic canvas of the world against powers that were once too overwhelming. 2) It is standing besides its foremost ally with which a major chunk of its economic and diplomatic future lies. 3) It is playing its hand against a country which comically thought itself a big enough player in South-East Asian affairs that it sent its warships to Vietnam. A country which many believe is being propped up as a counterweight to China........ This is how actual powers play.

Furthermore, no body is ruining any diplomatic and/or economic ties with China for India, not even India itself. It is farcical to even propose that the world's second largest economy, the factory of the world, is anywhere near being dependant on a massively inelastic import oriented economy. You, my friend, are dependant on Chinese goods, thinking anything contrary to that is the height of self-approbation. While India is wanted by the west because it is an emerging market for them, they need China because it is their supplier.

And if India is indeed so hunky-dory vis-à-vis its current situation in the NSG then why all this dance and chant? Sit well and sit quiet.

Where did Chinese muscle when india got NSG wavier

Chinese do *** when it comes to indian nuclear business

Do Chinese stop Russians nuclear investment in India

As for importing goods from Chinese are myth India always preferred Us over China

And indo-US trade is rising day by day compared to Chinese with whom are trade balance is in negative numbers.

Chinese imports are declining day by day with Make in india

This india out paced china as top FDI destination

You buddy live in sham.there are always substitute partner's in world
No one on dependent on other in present global environment

NSG for Pakistan would mean further Chinese investment in nuclear power. A nation of 180 million could use billions of dollars of nuclear investment that is only possible through Pakistan participation. China already has investments in developed world, but Pakistan remains key for China in this field.

Now whether India is in or not is irrelevant to China or anybody, even India to a large extent, as you can get a lot of the stuff anyways, and seeing as you don't have much in the way of exporting of high tech nuclear technology, it really doesn't matter.

But to your point of hurting China, this is the same weak argument some Chinese members made about the US when they opposed AIIB. These things rarely if ever matter even in the short term and the only thing that doesn't change is the hard power each country holds. Which this little side show doesn't change in the slightest.

Example, for as bad as China American relationship seems, we overtook Canada to become their biggest trading partner last year. We are still in RIMPAC, and the Americans talked to China on climate change, not one of its funny little allies.

Though I have to say, now that the shoe is on the other foot, it's easy to see why the Americans so enjoy their superpower status. It's fun.

1) China already can build total of 8 nuclear plants under the grandfathered agreement. How many more is China planning to build in Pakistan?

2) Nothing suits West than a Indo-China fight and China is falling into this trap. Rather than pulling India into its sphere of influence to negate the influence of the West in India, it would be taking diametrically opposite stance and pushing India more into embrace of the West. Chinese stance would surely help the incumbent government in India to take a more pro-west stance with the opinion of public turning negative towards China.

3) China would be acting as an angry child rather than a calm leader. This on the eve when India would be joining SCO, a group created by China to demonstrate it leadership to the world.

This is the problem and here is again... message to India... you can't buy everything... Money is not everything "Money talks bullshit walks" but sometime.. bullshit stuck in something even having money!

lol UN Mandate - China has veto power over there as well ;)

Re-read what I said. It is difficult to change organizations like IAEA or NPT which have UN mandate than organizations like NSG which do not have UN mandate.

At the end of the day NSG is a US lead group, if one likes it or not.

.
You got it wrong.

It is not India which would isolate China but China themselves.

They are going to fight 47 members of NSG for what purpose in the end?

India would still continue to do Business with the major NSG powers and suppliers that matter even without being a NSG member.

China would loose more by opposing India than gain.
You get it wrong..

China is not going to isolate herself, she is just starting her career as a Global Power.

From 47 members if NSG which country has more business with india other than china?

Apart from USA and Japan which country in NSG gives more important to India as compare to china..

India has NSG waiver, so it is her right to do business with NSG members..

China would gain more by opposing india..

kaan kay samnay say pakar lo yaan sar kay pechay say la kar pakarlo baat waheen ki waheen hey.. lets suppose (agreed) US has power over NSG group, sooner or later decision of India will decide whether US has only power over the group or someone else has too.

.
Yep India will be the biggest loser if this doesn't pan out, not Pakistan. It's almost as if we have to travel back to time so that India does not enjoy the "waiver" and this was all just a bad dream.;) If only we could access state of the art nuke tech from Ireland or Estonia or Malta through NSG.:lol::lol:

What an idiot. Every member of NSG can veto any new member's entry. Even small Switzerland can block India. Learn this first and we know China will do that and rest of the countries will support India. CVhina is totally isolated here. :D This is called the power. ANyway we have all the things a NSG members gets.

Sooner or later this will happen in UNSC also. :D One isolated bully of Asia.

Opposing your opponent is not called global power. If South Korea blocks India that is not called global power because they dont have one. The global power means influence you have over other countries. If today China wasn't be a part of NSG or UNSC they could not have become in this lifetime because they have too many enemies and India have one. China.

Did Russia backtrack on her decisions to not supply anything to china on which india has reservation or is against indian interest in recent past?

Do Chinese Can Pull This Off Against India From Russians Big NO:disagree::disagree:

For Russians China =India

.
It's so heartening to see how Chinese are rallying with their gun on the shoulders of Pakistan. And Pakistan enjoying it.

NSG will be expanded or broken.

India wins China wins too.

Pakistan looses her sovereignty to China. What luck guys!!

Are you soft in the head? Do you have problems comprehending what people say? Do you find it hard to ascertain the context of discussions?

Where did Chinese muscle when india got NSG wavier

What does China flexing its muscle right now have to do with anything with it not flexing it in the past. Not to mention that the articles above clearly explain why it is such now and wasn't back then.

Chinese do *** when it comes to indian nuclear business

Ok.....like India's membership in the NSG.......

Do Chinese stop Russians nuclear investment in India

Wait..... what?!.............Why?

As for importing goods from Chinese are myth India always preferred Us over China

Sure you do, but can your populace afford them? Do you know what the US does or does not produce? Is it that your trade surplus is so amazing that you'd have no qualms about importing from the US?

And indo-US trade is rising day by day compared to Chinese with whom are trade balance is in negative numbers.

Good for you but do you know what a negative trade balance means? If you do then do you also see that it goes against your argument?

Chinese imports are declining day by day with Make in india

Are they?

Kindly realize that this is the age of the internet. You can't just bs your way through arguments in typical Indian fashion anymore...

This india out paced china as top FDI destination

You buddy live in sham.there are always substitute partner's in world
No one on dependent on other in present global environment

Of course there are but China's substitute definitely is not India  Nor would anyone else ever want to start searching for China's substitute to get India an NSG membership.

Funny how your people first claim that China is dependent on India due to its trade and hence cannot replace India and hence will back off from opposing India but then when you are given reasons for the opposite you come out with the mantra "there are always substitute partner's in world No one on dependent on other in present global environment".

SOVEREIGNTY !!
There is no such thing as sovereignty in pakistan, let's be clear about that in this great game of Asia.

Truth is Sino-India competition includes territorial disputes, competition for access to resources, the
development of strategic military alliances and the use of strategic relationships with other powers to
contain the rise of the opposing nation.
By giving mixed signals over NSG issue China don't want to give India the importance or status of a strategic threat. On one side as India tries to reduce the gap economically and militarily, opposing that will push China further into the Pakistani quagmire with India. Which on the other hand China definitely wants to avoid as it deviates it's focus from US.
