What is wrong with these evangelics? They really do view any non-Christian (and especially the backwards Hindus) with complete contempt. These crazies need to be monitored closely by the GoI, we have seen them stepping up conversions in India, we know they have stalled development work in India and are actively lobbying against India in many international forums and now these sort of smear campaigns are coming into to play.

They are being monitored closely, hence rising number of such articles because the funds are drying up fast.

He did that when he was CM of Gujarat, things our media don't want to highlight. Just like I previously said, it's internal politics.

India has a population of 1.2 billion people. Every other crime can be interpreted in religious/ inter caste terms. He will be made to condemn every other crime. Law and order is a state government issue not central government.

Mob violence & lynching are common occurrences in India, which is in itself a sad reflection on our society. Within the past 7 days, one lynching & another incident of mob violence has taken place within a 10 Km radius from my home. This has more to do with lax policing which encourages people to show scant regard to law & order.

This recent spate of reported anti-minority violence are real but NOT out of the ordinary & can be directly attributed to what I have said above. What has happened is that other incidents where majority community are facing violence from minority communities are not being reported as aggressively. If you wish I can give you scores of such under-reported examples that have happened within the past 7 days.

The reason why media currently is hyping some at the expense of others, is that most private media are attached to the Congress ecosystem of NGO- Foreign evangelist-Black Money complex which is being squeezed out via Black money law, tighter controls on foreign NGO's and movement towards digital governance & financial transaction norms.

This hurts many powerful elites in India: Media, Bureaucrats, Politicians of all hues,Crony Capitalists, etc. The easiest way to stop or delay such structural reforms is to use the Minorities under attack narrative with support from foreign sources (including co-opted Indians).

However, this is actually having an adverse reaction.Due to rapid spread of social media & internet, more and more Indians, particularly young people are having access to a different view or narrative & are no longer captive to Mainstream Media, unlike previous generations. Which is why, hyped -up allegations,real or imagined, are being juxtaposed with similar incidents which have been ignored for some reason. A large number among youth associate this reason with malicious agenda.

Having said that, there is an urgent need for better policing, so that no such incident can occur and culprits are given harsh punishments, whether such incidents are reported or not. This will require police, administrative & judicial reforms- all of which involve entrenched elites. So, in my opinion, more instances of over-hyped & selective media outrage, such as this, will occur in the near to medium future.

Dear bro no doubt about your opinion but events led to this incedent does show that it is religious based crime.
