Like Alex said ,we have only rely on ourselves.

Even if we did have an ally,who will militaryly intervene in India favor, At the time of war it doesn't mean it"ll result in any change.

Example take 1971,despite USA sending an aircraft carrier to Pakistan's aid,did it help?

Whats with these nations

South korea?
japan?
france?

these nations hardly even know us,do you think they believe India will do the same for them?

In the event of war,we can rely upon US,Russia for military equipment,that too there is no guarantee it"ll make it into our hands.

Alliance with India is mostly one way or neutral with money going in one direction and goods / services in the other.

If this is one way or neutral, kindly tell me what will be termed as Bilateral?

well during the 1972 war american president Richard Nixon ordered the USS Enterprise into the Bay of Bengal. The Enterprise arrived on station on 11 December 1971.Nixon even persuaded Iran and Jordan to send their F-86, F-104 and F-5 fighter jets in aid of Pakistan. in counter On 6 December and 13 December, the Soviet Navy dispatched two groups of ships and a submarine, armed with nuclear missiles, from Vladivostok; they trailed U.S. Task Force 74 into the Indian Ocean from 18 December 1971 until 7 January 1972. The Soviets also had a nuclear submarine to help ward off the threat posed by USS Enterprise task force in the Indian Ocean.The USSR gave assurances to India that if a confrontation with the United States or China developed, it would take counter-measures.. PITY THE USSR is no more.. IMHO USSR was our ally back then... as for now we are on our own...

I think India has sufficient resource and brains to hold a full scale Conventional war(Non Nuclear) for a month with china... If we still continue with conventinal war we will cripple but a sufficient damage will also be inflicted on china... hopefully UN or some major powers will intervene even before that...

As far as pakistan is considered, the war(Full conventional-non nuclear) wont even last a week .. after that pakistan will surely escalate it to nuclear...hopefully before that pakistan will seek US help for cease fire...
