Indians Surrender

post something new my man and they are not officers.Ever seen a pic in which a victorious general was given a guard of honor by defeated army or on a second thought what is the honour in this guard of honour. They could have easily fought for months rather than showing white flag in just 13 days to 6000 troops.

As i said, your own version of history does wonders for your egos, turn a few pages and understand that history is not only restricted to the erstwhile East Pakistan

The worst commanders in Asia's History.

Major General Prasad’s abandoned jeep later captured by Pakistan Army

Major General Niranjan Prasad was commander of the 15 Infantry Division of the Indian army which fought Pakistan army in the 1965 war between India and Pakistan. Despite commandering a superior force, in terms of numbers of infantrymen and its accompanying artillery, Major General Prasad managed a complete collapse of his command and control. Major General Prasad’s men abaondoned their vehicles and fled following fierce counter-attacks by the Pakistan army.

The Indian Defence Minister wrote in his book, titled, “1965 War- The Inside Story”:

“On learning that, Lt. Gen. Harbakash Singh and the corps commander drove in a Jonga (Nissan P60 Jeep) to the battlefront. Army commander found that the enemy (PAF) air attack had created a havoc on G.T. Road. (Indian) Vehicles were burning and several vehicles of 15 Division abandoned on the road, the drivers having run away, leaving some of the engines still running.

Maj. Gen. Niranjan Prasad was hiding in a recently irrigated sugar cane field. As described by Harabakash Singh: “He (Prasad) came out to receive us, with his boots covered with wet mud. He had no head cover, nor was he wearing any badges of his rank. He had stubble on his face, not having shaved.” Seeing him in such a stage, Harbakhash Singh asked him: “Whether he was the General Officer commanding a division or a coolie? Why had he removed badges of rank and not shaved? Niranjan Prasad had no answer.”

LoL. Where is the surrender by Indian army man??? They are POW's. You pakistani's becoming subject of laugh day by day.
Seems some one has left the zoo gate open and Bharti baboons are making a racket.
Try to activate a brain cell and for example explain how does a single Pakistani helicopter pilot can just take over 50 Indian POW without them first surrendering to him.

.
No, this is not necessary. You can capture by force and send them to jail. Every war has had POW's either both sides. But this is nothing to compare 90000 shameful faces and half of your country. LOL

lol ... so then this mean hundreds of indians were defeated on the battlefield , overpowered and made POWs by Pakistanis ? :azn:

in 1965 , on your own you had your teeth kicked in nice and proper , in 1971 you seeked traitors and though treason came about your only claim to fame against us ...

.
Rare footage from 1971 war showing how thousands of Indian soldiers had surrendered in West Pakistan even before fall of Dacca, the Indian POW after being addressed by Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto were eventually repatriated in exchange for Pakistani prisoners from East Pakistan, many of which were civilians.

@Irfan Baloch @Horus @DESERT FIGHTER @Xeric @Icarus

:pakistan: You deserve a medal boss. :smitten:

Technically 1 mard e momin = 10 baniyas

So 100 baniyas fighting with 100 mard e momin actually means 100 baniyas fighting eith 1000 baniyas....so there is a slight chance that they may be overpowered

In 65,we captured thrice as much area as you
If u think that was ur victory lol:lol:

I merely posted from historic prospective however some Indian members often run back to 1971 to salvage their tiny ego.
So you open a thread dedicated to this? :D

Thank you for bringing that up, even in war, there are ethics and morals to be maintained, walking out of your position with hands raised and handing your weapon over is not something unheard of during the war, in some cases such are even staged for the benefit of the home audience, i suggest you also google, how Indian cameras are forever present during such events specially in hostile terrain like Kargil and then also read about the episode on
Kambampati Nachiketa.
War cameras and reporters are the norm in every professional army.

common sense is not so common in Indians.. is it?

what is your criteria of winning the war? PoW were on both sides.. & I don't see Bangladesh part of India.. it is an independent nation.. and inchoate Bangladesh was there when no political agreement was achieved after 1970 elections.. I don't want to go into history.. but i think i made my point.
1971 was a stalemate. Pakistan successfully got rid of Bangladesh but could take no Indian territory. India also failed to take any Pakistani city.

Learn from the Brits, who fought for Falklands and won.

I know, while you loose the match, you will console yourself with a boundary. :)

* The war stripped Pakistan of more than half of its population and with nearly one-third of its army in captivity,...

* Pakistan lost half its population

* the Pakistani military suffered further humiliation by having their 90,000 prisoners of war (POWs) released by India only after the negotiation and signing of the Simla Agreement on 2 July 1972.

* 16 December 1971: Lieutenant-General A. A. K. Niazi, supreme commander of Pakistani Army in East Pakistan, surrenders to the Allied Forces (Mitro Bahini) represented by Lieutenant General Jagjit Singh Arora of Indian Army at the surrender. India and Bangladesh gain victory.
And Pakistan still stalemated India. Pakistan always wanted to get rid of their Eastern Wing.
Glorious Major Gen. Parsad's abandoned jeep.

Gen Prasad. Not Parsad. :)

Congrats on your victory. Your glorious aim is achieved. The Exalted Ark of the Royal Jeep is in Pakistan. :(

. . . . . .
Considering the atrocities committed by the Pakistani army count your blessings that the Indian army bailed out Pakistani soldiers. If the Mukti Bahini had their way it would have been a lynch mob.
lecturing
me about atrocities when your soldiers are repeatedly found out committing fake encounters in Kashmir doesnt help your argument

we count our blessing and these pictured soldiers count their blessings that they were captured by a regular army.

but I think in the absence of an Indian invasion after instigating the years long terrorism in East Pakistan .. there might not have been any surrender and the linch mob would have been subdued. but thats history
