Indians Surrender

Look at pow they are not handing over their weapons with a smile on their face.If you google it you will know what i mean.
Thank you for bringing that up, even in war, there are ethics and morals to be maintained, walking out of your position with hands raised and handing your weapon over is not something unheard of during the war, in some cases such are even staged for the benefit of the home audience, i suggest you also google, how Indian cameras are forever present during such events specially in hostile terrain like Kargil and then also read about the episode on
Kambampati Nachiketa.

. . .
Niyazi surrendered to few thousand indian troops and even a contingent of 10,000 well entrenched troops could make a lot of difference.

Also there were several battles in western border like longewala,Basantar and kargil operations.

so you wanted niazi to keep fighting to the last man and what about the unarmed civilan bengalis that would die in the fighting?

bangaleis just didn't want us so better let them have their own nation rather than kill them.

. . . .
Can any one mention number of Indian POWs in 71 war....... ?
Near accurate figure, how many thousand.....?
Most probably 5-10,even if we are to believe our esteem elite Windjammer bhaijaan then it wouldn't be more than a few dozens:coffee:!!

once an enemy soldier has put down his weapon then he has the Geneva convention rights. he should be looked after for his basic needs and then repatriated after the conflict is over.
contrary to this video... on the eastern side many Pakistanis were executed in the pultan ground by the Mukti bahani terrorists just like the TTP and ISIS terrorists.
There might have been individuals in Indian Army who had violated the Geneva convention in 71 but overall their conduct was quite good. I am saying this as a son of a POW of 71, my father, 3 of my uncles (cousins of my father) and a brother of my grand father were POWs in 71. Quite a few persons of my village were POWs too in 71. I have not heard a single complain from all of them about the mistreatment by the Indians.

Of course they were prisoners of their enemy after losing a war so they were not expecting a five start treatment but nothing against the Geneva convention was reported.

Look at the smile on Pakistan army men's face...i didnt see this in video you posted..

did you hear what he said? like seriously? that he could have fought on but rather chose to not kill the bengalis in the cross fire.

in today's modern world it would be considered a great act if bashar assad did it. rather than fight on (however, it is too late for him already)

Pakistani politicians didn't fight the war, did they?
common sense is not so common in Indians.. is it?

what is your criteria of winning the war? PoW were on both sides.. & I don't see Bangladesh part of India.. it is an independent nation.. and inchoate Bangladesh was there when no political agreement was achieved after 1970 elections.. I don't want to go into history.. but i think i made my point.

Oh yes Mr.WindJammer is posting these threads to impart History lessons and there is no reason to belive that this thread is a knee jerk reaction to many people shoving photos of Pakistani forces surrendering in his face in almost all threads he trolls. Yes Mr.WJammer this is absolutely no way an effort to save, in your own words, your "tiny ego".And before I forget, this is by all means much more humiliating than signing "An Instrument Of Surrender".

Sir, If your really want to be a historian, be a un biased one. But something tells me, it be very highly to be asked out of you.

What knee jerk reaction....is today your first day on the forum or something, hardy a day goes by when one doesn't encounter some Indian member dragging in 1971, lo and behold, your country fellows are not even shy to bring 1971 , in a sports thread, for the same effort i could each ntime bust them by going back to 1965 or even 1947.... but obviously i must have bruised some other egos with this thread....,as your majesty couldn't resist from taking a pot shot. Bravo.

In 'normal' parts of the world a total surrender by the enemy is considered victory, not sure about Pakistan though.
