So... what happened to Gandhi's nonviolence, "Aman ki Asha", and all that?
Actually, over the course of 14 years and 50 billion dollars, DRDO analysts, following a tender set out by Indian High Command, created a report that outlined the plans for breaking Pakistan up into 35 pieces. However due to delays, corruption, and an insistence on 70% indigenous content in the report, Indian Army high command upped the project requirements to "Pakistan into 40 pieces" so that the project would not be obsolete by the time it was finished. Thus, another 70 billion dollars and 500 illegal overseas bank accounts later, we have a DRDO report published in 2014 and Made in India (Jai Hind!) that details how to attack Pakistan in 1985 for the purpose of breaking it up into 39 pieces.
