Seems like, the government and the rest of India are not considering Tamils as equal citizens. Almost every year 100s of tamil fishermen are shot dead by lankan navy, but our cries are not reaching the government. The government acts swiftly if there is any issue for hindus in Pakistan or some where else in the world, but the response is not the same when we cried for something or if the whole tamil nadu(7 crore population) wants something.

Government's strategy is not to loose srilanka, coz they are our important neighbor. Yes, you can have them at your side, at the cost of Tamil Nadu.

The Sinhalas are not indigenous to the island nation. They are descendents of prince Vijaya from Bengal.

By going by your argument that can be said to the TN Tamils.. They hate Sri Lankans and what they stand for.. With over 70 million and no nation to call their own.. They have always has hostility towards a more prosperous SL.. They tried to get it through the British,Failed..Then the Indian Govt through the anti Hindi riots,Falied.. Tried in Malaysia,Failed, Finally Lanka and failed...Should I go on??

Tamils have been living in Lanka even before the arrival of Sinhalese from Kalinga. There were Tamil migration to Lankan in different points of history. the last was of the Tamil plantation workers during British era.

Everything said, I am ashamed of the dumb groups in Tamil Nadu that attacks visiting sinhalese. It will not do any good for sri lankan Tamils.

I have mentioned few times this on this forum. Kings vijaya story is just one story. Sinhalese are native to Lanka only, almost all Sri Lankan historical names refer to Sinhala race. First group of island we called "Hela" groups. King vijaya's story comes with one hela group. People who we called "veddha" comes from King Vijaya's 2 children as a result of incest relationship.
Sinhalese means Siv + hela. Siv means four. It mentions 4 "hela" groups in the island, not just one hela group. That's why lanka mentioned as "Sinhala", "Sinhale". (Land of [siv]Hela => Land of Sinhala)

Even if we accept your claim, even then a substantial Sinhalas have come from india, like the tamils. Thats the point I was making to the pakistani trying to hint at his usually weak logic.

Someday in past may have come from Indian subcontinent, end of the day humans started from Africa. BBC TV has good series about that.
