What's new

Indians, how do you see at Azadi march ?

Haathon haath, Lets predict the outcome - I predict increase in violence - the army moves in to restore the order ;), interim order is restored under the army, all stake holders including the ousted PM's party are called in for talks and then some - after a few months there is fresh elections.
What about a terrorist attack? It is quite a possibility with the ammount of people.

He still can achieve a lot just by being in the opposition, but is being led by his greed!

IK's motives maybe good and that's a big "maybe" but this is not the right time nor the right way to achieve them.

He appears to be a bit like our own Kejriwal but a Kejriwal with considerable number of charged supporters. In the end, this may not go down well for Pakistan on many levels -- unfortunately!!!

.
If Nawaz abdicates and the Army takes over, then it's going to affect relations between the two countries. But I daresay that with the PA at the helm, our relations may actually improve like when Mush was in power. Ironical but true!
When in power, you are directly answerable & responsible for the policy playing out in the open. Hence the reduction in hostility. When civilian govt in power... who cares. After-al it's for the govt of the day to pick up the debris!

A terrorist attack is not new for Pakistan - I doubt it will be a game changer here - besides, all the more reason for the army to move in once the blame game starts for who's actions was the cause of a terrorist attack.

A caretaker govt with PA's blessing & it's old political lieutenants like Chaudhary brothers, Sheikh Rasheed & other usual suspects coming back to the fore!

Waste of time and energy for people and businessmen. I think once Imran Khan understood its not easy in a country like Pakistan to get things done (development, talks with Taliban), he is trying to divert peoples anger completely towards Nawaz. I dont understand why people like Arving Kejriwal, Imran Khan try to prove difference between them and other politicians by achieving some thing or developing their constituencies. People like these rarely have patience. They want to get things done in their own way, with out thinking about problems of common people. Honesty is not the only thing to be a successful politician. Even our Rahul Gandhi is honest.

God forbid what happens if something happens to IK? He is travelling on an open truck with no protection.

Many leaders have been killed before, lets leave out something that isn't a probable outcome and talk about what will be the outcome in the normal flow of events.

We respect Indian opinion on this one. Thanks for all your comments, although we do not agree with everyone.

A pakistan we see is divided, clearly i thought IK was a nut, but hell he can gather a crowd
Plus we see leader from Canada and London calling shots in pakistan
and then we see the localities like Nawaz Shariff and bhutto's

If you ask us, Pakistanis lack clarity. In, Indian elections we always know 2 parties will get majority of the seats, same cannot be said for Pakistani elections which leaves the country in dismay and keep the electoral guessing who to vote for.

with current charges of corruption being raised by IK doesn't make any sense, you need an system to fight corruption, new laws to fight corruption. Money laundering that happens openly needs to be stopped and mere change in govt won't be effective because Ik wouldnt have enough seats to pass a new law or resolution

as far as change in election system, please watch this interview by najam Sethi of IPS Gill,

If i am not wrong Ik has 2 points

Rigging in elections - Why don't they use electronic voting lke India does ? rigging is almost next to 0% now, machines are cheap too

corruption - again, they need to inact laws, make amendments, you can't have a home minister probing his own charges of corruption, lokpal bill is a perfect example of monitoring by the public, right to information act and right to recall your legislator is what will make accountability

IK should understand, even if he comes into power, he can't have sweeping majority and he would need 75% majority in parliament to changes and amend laws

Plus elections should be handled by civil servants and not judges

It's our internal matter, we don't care what india thinks
Ofcourse. And nobody is asking you to care by the way.
We are just having a discussion and presenting our views on the developments in a neighbouring country involving a person whom, a lot of us, admire.
