Featured Indians are at it again - 40% of Pakistan's frontline fighter jets docked for a variety of reasons

I think the 40% of thunders have issues COMES from assumptions and experience of Russian engines on indians MIG29 & SU30MKI .

Since the JF17 use a russian engines the service life & mainteance of thunders could effected relative to your experience of FLYING F16 with USA engines

You do need to ask WHY india Chose a USA engne GE 404 in for Tejas at double the cost of $5million when russian RD93 cast less than $2 million for simliar TWR and no threat of sanctions

Interesting indian second option for Tejas was French engine
PAF was able to keep a fleet of nearly two hundred F6s operational for more than 30 years with engine life of 200 hours. Don’t shift Indian incompetence to Pakistan.

Oh no, now how will pakistan smuggle the jf17s across the LoC to the Kashmiri Freedom fighters and how will they along with our ssg commandos disguised as kashmiris will provide air support to the Freedom Fighters. Certainty bad weather and clouds are the only chance now for Pakistan. Indians are as good in propaganda as they are un the skies
now coming to the point: What i deduce from this recently activated indian propaganda against jf17 is that they want to fend off the foreign buyers of it by spreading rumors that it is a maintenance heavy aircraft whose supply of parts may be unreliable so they should go for the tejas

The Pakistan Air Force now faces serious difficulties. Its frontline fighter, the JF-17, developed by the Chinese, has maintenance problems that are getting worse every day.

The reason is the JF-17's Russian made engine, the RD-93 and the sanctions by the United States of America on Rosoboronexport, the Russian defence trade agency, since 2018. Engines need to be overhauled; they need to be replaced after a certain number of hours of flying. And only Rosoboronexport can ensure overhauling and provide new engines or spare parts.

The sanctions prevent Rosoboronexport from doing US dollar transactions. So, there are payment issues which the two governments and the concerned banks have not sorted out, sources said. As a result, ensuring the JF-17 is ready to fly is becoming more difficult and will be more so in the future.

The Pakistan Air Force or PAF has over a hundred JF-17s (the much-talked-about US-made F-16 is at least 30 years old and maintenance is getting difficult). It is already the most modern fighter the PAF has. The PAF has about 15 JF-17s in Masroor in Karachi (this is its 2nd Squadron), about 50 in Minhas in Kamra (14th and 16th Squadron), about 15 in Samungli, near Quetta and about 20 in Peshawar.

Plus, there are a dozen two-seaters that are usually used as trainers in Kamra and another 5 fighters elsewhere. All these JF-17s will need new engines or overhauled engines or spares in the future. The question is: where will they come from?

More JF-17s are to join the fleet including trainers and the more advanced Block-3 version. About 30 are expected. And they could well be crippled by the unavailability of engines or spares.

As a way out, the PAF and the China National Aero-Technology Import and Export Corporation or CATIC are trying to replace the Russian RD-93 engine with an unproven Chinese version. But just how capable it will be and how long it will take has to be seen.

oh nooo, we are doomed(according only to the vedicks) what will we do now? might have to resort to throwing shoes at the mighty rafale and sue 30 all because we wont be able to fly. is sue 30 still the raptor of the east?

I wonder if the vemana will be used against Pakistan!

Firstly it was structural faults now this, Come on lift a little bit higher, you low lives..

Oh, no! not again.
JF-17 Has been haunting Indians day and night. It has really made their life miserable.

Well, what an opportune moment. India should quickly do a massive strike on Pakistan, I mean what are they waiting? Hafiz Saeed is not going kill by himself. Just do a sasti surgical strike and be done with it, since Pakistan can't retaliate because of JF 17's maintenance issues.

Kuch tou appnay khudaoon ka khauf kiya karoo, gow maut pee k kuch bhi???? kuch bhi??
