Indian Trains Failed in Sri Lanka

“We have already initiated an investigation into the suitability of these Indian locomotives. We cannot let waste public funds for spurious imports,” Transport Minister Kumara Welgama said.

Sri Lanka Railways would never hesitate to terminate the contract to import power sets if the investigation report recommends so, he said.

Indian power sets suspended | Breaking News

Although the tone of the Transport Minister Kumar Welgama sounds a bit unbecoming of, we Indians should not react to it as if everything coming out of this country is flawless. As stated by the poster, the trains are from a state owned company, and we all know what they are like.

They import 20 trains from our country, and the first train itself develops a snag in the its very first journey. It sure deserves proper criticism. To me it sounds more like a case of putting national honor at the stake for some under the table greens.

Yeah lets leave it at that.

Both china and india need to improve it's export quality. Pakistan got hoodwinked out of 32 Chinese trains, all failed...and have been refused to be fixed by the Chinese. This embarrass the two growing powers...

Cause we can't just chuck the existing rakes out. They are being phased out gradually.
