This project is being funded by Private money,ISKON money, not government money.
Apart from generating significant tourism revenues, it will provide employment to many and will help enrich our cultural heritage.

Yes i guess it being funded by private money nobody really has a say in it, But do you agree on the massive scale of vanity of it ? That much of money could have been spend in more many better ways for the betterment for the people, India is not particularly a rich nation like the Gulf states to waste money on such projects just to satisfy ego's of a minority imho

I have seen the garish building of the Ambani's in Bombay for an example.. India and the mentality of some Indians will always be a paradox to me

Tak mahal is indeed far superior than this junk of a temple. Building something like Taj Mahal in 16th century was a master piece. Nobody cares for this dumb temple. In an era of Burj al Khalifa, this temple is like a mere tent..

Of course you can choose to respond. Freedom of speech. But this line "Use of this money to alleviate poverty" is a term repeated million times in this forum. Whether it brings any benefit to society is not something for us to measure. Ambani built a home in centre of Mumbai for 4500 INR crores. What benefit it will bring except to his family? I way I see it, temple in itself will bring around livelihood and business for some people around, relieve off pressure from big temples nearby during festivals, most importantly they give Annadhanam to poor people in Afternoon's. In fact most of the big temples in TN do.
