it is unnecessary to bring US into the picture, even if they would have played foul. taking on US is not that easy..we atleast need 15 years to make sure that US wont influence our foreign policy, because by that time our economy would be around $6 trillion, strong military and hope we must be having ICBM too(atleast unofficially)...till then it will be suicidal to think about taking on america..

The reason Drone attacks still happen is because they are with the consent of the government, every body in Pakistan knows that some of these drones fly from Pakistan's own basis, it is the Pakistani ambidextrous government which thinks that they will satisfy public by criticizing americans and satisfy americans by covertly allowing for those drone attacks.

As for Begging - Hmmmmm ahem I guess I have heard that before somewhere in the international fora - but yeah if you don't realize it is based on a competition worth $10 Bn.

As for counter strategy I am not too sure what was the IAF afraid since they have BVR and lots more to call their fleet better than Pakistan. I think it was never a serious option but with everyday passing by and new information coming to the fore, that day is not far when India actually considers carrying out those surgical strikes.

It's highly unlikely that the exact nature of such sensitive issue will be disclosed to public domain, however answering the media persons today, the Air Chief disclosed that the PAF conducting exercises in both conventional and non conventional warfare and has perfected the strategy of converting from defensive offence to offensive offence in two minutes.
