The guy in the fatigues is wearing what is called a Patka (sp?). It not standard Army issue. They are carrying the Indian INSAS and are counterinsurgency paramilitary Rashtiya (sp?) Rifles, which is not part of the regular Indian Army. The other yokels are definitely police ( their reaction does not surprise me one bit)

It may have been an ambush that took the Indian soldiers by surprise. I admit it looks bad, I initially thought I was watching a bad Indian remake of Godzilla . To be fair, it is difficult to assess the bravery of these soldiers from a few seconds of footage, maybe they recovered from the initial shock and took the fight to the enemy?

Wow on the comments here by some of the people. Geez you can hear one guy wounded crying from the pain and you all are LOl'ing?!!!! What kind of human beings are you? That clip was an ambush from the looks of it, and yes people get hurt, and when they get hurt they cry out in pain. When ambushed you first take cover and then retaliate. But judging by the comments by some of the morons here, just shows their upbringing and their ethics!! I am really disgusted by your lol'ing at someone who is fighting for their lives.
Atleast they are not running away, like the security team covering the SL cricket team. Why do I say this? Coz all the personnel were shot in their backs!! Recheck the pics of that attack. And what about that traffic cop who was shot in cold blood near the curb...didnt even put up a fight! DO you see me lol'ing here?
For crying out loud....show some civility for people who are fighting terrorists and get injured or killed in the process. Show some respect!

This had nothing to do with the soldiers being Bharati, if the soldiers had been Pakistanis, it would have looked just as funny. ONly then, would you have seen the joke, though.

On another note, Pakistani security services did not run away, rather 6 policemen died defending the Sri Lankan players. So get your facts straight, mate!

If it was a training clip I would have laughed definitely. There are many bloopers there during training. But geez for Gods sake, you can clearly see that people are fighting for their lives. Some are hurt. That is an ambush! Its not funny at all. Even if it were Pakistanis or any other countries soldiers, its not funny at all.
Yes, 6 Pakistani police personnel died there, RIP. But no shots were fired by them. SO what does that mean?
And btw the title of that clip says Indian soldiers....

guys i donot think so this video should be played here and even if did shudnot have been ridiculed some things are to laugh at some thing are not ...may be some 1 lost there life or got injured its a disrespect to them and our religon and customs strictly forbids us to do such thing ,and the guy closed the door may be because that vehicle was not suppose to have more men in hate the media when they capture such video and then sell them for money!!
TO GUBBI u mite be rite about LOl thing its a shame , but the police men were not shot in the back they died instantly because they were in a open hilux which was ambushed from all sides and the other one came to rescue and coverd the van carrying official which got stranded and 1 died trying to save the SHAMELESS BRITISH team coach , and trafic police guy couldnot fight back because trafic police escorts are not armed in shame game can go a long way lets not forget the MUMMBAI ATTACK AND the police and commando performance there shall we !! I appoligise from some of my country men which have said things to offend you .

I didnt mean to make a mockery of the Pak Police who died there. Just pointed out that in an ambush personnel first try to take cover, like seen in the clip. Yes, they get shot many a time, some die! Thats what happened in Lahore. And thats whats happening in the above clip.
