sirji, somewhere i read that there is a device/technology to detect who fired first...???

There is more aggressiveness on the Indian side in responding to any provocation. This firing bit had died down for a while as there was a better understanding of what the new red lines were. However you can't really be sure whether this is an isolated incident (reaction to a provocation within the sector itself) or whether this will flare up like it did in the last few months. Unlike before, the Indian side does not now necessarily respond only in the sector from where the provocation occurred, last year saw Indian forces deliberate moving it down to the IB connecting Jammu to Pakistani Punjab(what you call working boundary) in response to Pakistani provocations further up in Kashmir.
but what would be the benefit?? Are our positions strong in IB than in LOC where we can cause more damage?? I don't think anything like that is true.

Its that Indian forces can inflict more damage across IB as Pakistani areas are more densely populated around IB.. so the damage and threat to life is more there... and Indian escalation there hurts Pakistan more.

well are you saying we are purposefully taking the fight to civilians...don't wanna believe it....b/w IB on both side is populated..no??

a short ranger anti projectile missile is solution. which apparantly pak cannot afford :/

Why would Pakistan shell Indian posts unless we have to defend ourselves ?
Pakistani forces are not as innocent and you guys believe... and Indian forces are not saints as some Indians would like to believe... They look across the Border and see enemies.. and they want to inflict maximum damage to each other... and that's what happens all the time.

Pakistan should deploy light artillery mortars and snipers on those posts which are more active than others and give Indian Forces the answer they understand

Don't you think that's already happening? IB is fully loaded on both sides...

You don't understand. We are restraining ourselves due to operations in the west. We don't want to play provoking game. Commanders on ground are enough to ensure that army doesn't have to divide its resources into kashmir sector due to such flareups. But Indian army is hell bent upon doing this.

I think by law the civilians living with 4-5kms range of the border, should be moved to a more safer place permanently, this way we can ensure that there 're no civilian casualities during border skirmishes.
It's sad that civilian population have to bear the brunt of wars fought by our armies.

Lets be honest now... Pakistani forces resort to Cross LOC firing all the time to help Terrorist across to Indian side...its just that Under new government Indian forces have been directed to escalate every incident to a certain threshold ... thats' a tactical response to a tactic.
