At the Modern School in Delhi, a special assembly is being held to remember the schoolchildren
killed in the Peshawar attack.

Apart from the two-minute silence, the schools also held special prayers to commemorate the victims of the attack.

The show of solidarity comes as Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached out to Pakistan in a telephone conversation last night with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

India's NDTV said Modi had appealed to all Indian schools to hold a two-minute silence as a mark of solidarity with the victims in Peshawar.

The Indian premier joined parliamentarians today as they held the special prayers for the victims of Tuesday’s attack.

Modi said he strongly condemned the "cowardly” attack by Taliban militants on the school and branded it “a senseless act of unspeakable brutality”. He added that India shared Pakistan's pain.

“Strongly condemn the cowardly terrorist attack at a school in Peshawar,” Modi had stated in a tweet on Tuesday.

Brain washed. We are not required to do any drama but this is a heinous act against Humanity. So we are showing our concern. Any way you won't understand that.

Jitney bhi khole jaayein, kam hain. Lekin ab jo aap ne isko drama karaar de diya hai, to ye bhi zaahir ho gaya hai ki aap ke dil un marhoom bachchon ke liye kitni jagah reh gayi hai. Abhi to unko guzre poora ek din bhi nahi hua aur aap abhi se tang hone lag gaye.

Khair, aap apna kaam kijiye, hum apna kaam karenge. Aur aakhir me to... jo jeeta wahi sikandar. ("Victor writes the history" - in case you couldn't figure out the meaning of the phrase)

If you don't like it, then just buzz off. The Peshawar pogrom may be a drama for you but not for the rest of the world.

You need to visit a shrink to get your head examined.
u moron its not the peshwar drama but its yr country's drama on its back drop. Why are u soo keen to show the world yr crocodile tears when we know yr the lifeline of TTP?

Why are you acting as a dumb a$$.

Can't we fight later..

Atleast think about those who were killed.

We are still alive here and can fight later also.

Really touched by this gesture by Indians. Gratitude.

And a question; except for the "sekular"(a.k.a kaafir) Turkey, where exactly is our much loved ummah? India, New Zealand cricket team, etc all made great gestures. Where the !@#$ are our ummatis?

This was a horrific human tragedy; so we care.
Siyasat can go to Hell, this is the time for Insaniyat.
So nut-cases like Umair Nawaz do not matter; Madmen can remain cowering and fuming in their dark corner.
I am a parent; so it hurts to see Parents in your country having to carry out the funerals of their children; I will never wish that even for my worst enemy. Please stand by the bereaved families in this darkest hour of their grief; then gather your country-men together and resolutely fight religious extremism and terrorism. No child in your country should ever again be a victim to this kind of animals.
We wish you well.
