In a viral video from Bihar, a man is seen doing sit-ups in front of a crowd. Five sit-ups were his “sentence” for allegedly raping a five-year-old girl.

The video is from a village in Bihar's Nawada district.

The man allegedly took the child to his poultry farm with the promise of chocolates and raped her. When the man was caught and produced before the village council, or panchayat, the elders decided not to turn in him and pronounced their own verdict. The man was not guilty of rape, they decided. They only punished him for taking the girl to a secluded spot.


A video of the “punishment” has sparked outrage on social media, with many calling it out as proof of patriarchy and skewed justice in rural India.

Users flagged the video to Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and his deputy Tejashwi Yadav, demanding to know whether the state government would allow the crime to go unpunished.

Superintendent Of Police Gaurav Mangla said that an FIR has been registered and action will be taken against the accused. The police are also investigating those who tried to suppress the incident, he said.

This guy might have escaped justice had this video not come out, but now that we know what he's done, he will get what he deserves, cops have already filed charges. If you think there are no lawless areas in Pakistan where "tribal elders' dispense summary justice, then you have been in the UK too long, most of Pakistan's rural areas would be no different.

I think you misRead my post, Modi/BJP supporter hate Gandhi for different reasons, some facts about Gandhi you didn't read in textbooks, He is not the saint or modern Buddha you imagine:
1. He supported caste system. he wrote about his vernacular Gujarati newspaper "Harijan". Harijan is the racist name given by Gandhi to Dalits.
2. He was racist, In 1903, when Gandhi was in South Africa, he wrote that white people there should be "the predominating race." He also said black people "are troublesome, very dirty and live like animals."
3. He was pervert. In his late 70s, before he died at 78, he slept naked with his grandniece when she was in her late teens. He said he wanted to test his willpower to abstain from sex.
4. Gandhi was against electoral empowerment of Dalits. He threatened to commit suicide if Dalits get vote empowerment. A fast on to death till Dalits are denied the electoral power. - this why I hate Gandhi.

Gandhi supported and created this informal kangaroo court system(panchayati raj) which gave this light punishment to child rapist in 2022, in this news.

In this thread, you can see that a sentence has already been passed, you can literally see it in the video.
SO, rather then condemning this action, you are lying so nakedly that "He will be dealt severely" the punishment has already been announced, and acted upon in front you, watch the video.

Crimes happen, it's how you deal with them that matters, not brush child abuse under the carpet, or worse still, make it acceptable, as is happening in the above video, and by your actions.

If this is how you deal with child abuse in India, then the actual figures must be a 1000 times higher.
