These are the same people who will cry racism in the west. Or speak on mis treatment of dark Bangladeshis by Pakistani Punjabis. When our own Indian Punjabis are doing much more worse.

Like i have been saying all along in this very forum...this caste shit and fair and lovely ads have brainwashed our people into oblivion...i would also say the rise of dravidian parties in the south has a lot to do with this caste based discrimination meted to dark skinned people by "upper caste" people which include brahmins...non brahmin "upper caste" people too abuse others based on caste to the same degree and then get raged when brahmins show the same abuse to them that they themselves have shown to other "lower castes"..and they try to play the victim card...which i always find funny .

Even abroad many indians complain of being racially targeted and abused...most of them i think deserve the abuse and then some in my humble opinion...as 99% believe in this caste shit.

All gurus of Sikhs happened to be light skinned khatri Punjabis and they married off their daughters to Punjabis khatris. These were the same gentlemen who preached against colorism and casteism. I think they were not aware of the saying that "Charity begins at home".

I haven't met a Pakistani Punjabi in real life. So I can jump to any conclusions.

My views only apply to Upper Caste Punjabis who are the most bigoted people in the whole world. I pray to the person in the skys, the west goes Nazi and these upper caste Indian punjabis living in the west get their due karma. It's wrong to harbour hatred. But these preeks have it coming.

I am from a well off family. I don't face much problems. I am speaking for the lowest of low.

The choora living in a village dominated by Indian Sikh jatts/khatris. And the malnourished adivasi living in the jungles of Chattisgarh. No one speaks for them.

If some one believes in this caste system...he is no longer a true brahmin...he becomes a shudra himself...everyone including brahmins are born a shudra...only on the day he is given initiation into gayathri mantra he is elevated from shudra rank...to become a brahmin is a feat in itself and takes a lifetime of very hard work...you dont become one just by wearing a white thread...the scriptures are very clear on this...the easiest person to fool is yourself and its very true in this case....but there are still many rue brahmins still roaming this great nation who dont see people through the caste lens.

Racism is a fact of life. Very unfortunate but very true. Looks like the problem is really bad in India for some reasons. Maybe simply because there are so many Indians in the world--kind of like the laws of the numbers. Maybe Caste-ism. I don't know why.

I will give you my personal account from barely 12 hours ago. My own attempt to rise above racism. Mea culpa in a way.

So I was out last night. I enjoy my time alone sipping stuff. Ran into a white guy friend. Very decent guy, I couldn't refuse his company. Unfortunately, he invited a South Asian guy to join us. I won't mention nationality. This SA guy looked like the murderer in the Patrick S. movie 'Ghost': Obnoxious looking to my prejudiced eyes: dark, kinky hair. But even worse: Short, and skinny too. Now, I am no Brad Pitt, but the wheat skin tone and Caucasian features get me a lot of 'hits' and verbal compliments. No kidding. Pakistanis here will confirm that.

BUT... despite the fact that my yearning for being left alone was broken, this new guy, because of his lack of weight, couldn't keep himself sober and said insulting things to me. I had to politely put him in his place and whispered to my real friend to please lose this guy from here. I would have remained polite and tolerated the guy had it not been his insobriety!!

I have put white racists into their place too, calling them 'the Klan Wizard' when they racially insulted me.

Morale of the story: It's a pecking order of racism! But we all should RISE ABOVE our prejudices and be civil to each other. Because if we don't then we are fundamentally insecure about ourselves.
