India's support must become more overt, especially in the security sector. Good deliverables can be gunships.
The Gernals won't make peace unless the proxies are defeated on the battlefield.

A few gunships will defeat the proxies ??? -- the Generals are heavy weight champions at the game.

And if they were to loose the game today they can always re-start a few days later.

Food for thought: India knows that a few gunships or even plenty of them will have no strategic impact on the battlefront. Perhaps Afghans should ask the question if the extra-gun ships make their life more miserable. And, if India knows they, then why are they giving handouts of gunships here and there. The answers often lies in the questions.

Defeating proxies sadly wont ever be deterrent. Unless handlers get personally punished, they wont stop sending others to get killed.

OT : Good for Afghanistan.

Afghans need to think about Afghanistan rather than fighting for others and protecting others interest

By gunships I meant an overt, wholesale military, economics and political assistance. Not sure what else can the GHQ do, keeping in mind a complete take over wont be permitted the US, NATO and others and that a complete take over by Talis also mean TTP empowermint.

Afghans can live with the status quo, frankly but at least a whole sale treatment will mean that Pakistan feels the heat.

Well we are, but the Gernals wont allow that incase you have not been following the Burka offensive.

1. No amount of assistance that India can provide (given her capacity) will change Afghanistan's strategic predicament.
2. Why would the GHQ want a complete take over? Nor can it achieve one
3. There is no status-quo -- if this situation persists for a decade -- the decay will set Afghanistan back to the late 1980s
4. And, you have not factored in the opportunity cost -- Afghanistan is currently 40 years behind Pakistan for example -- do you want to extend that to 60 in 10 years

sir with all due respect
is it the generals who ruined your country or the greed of tribesmen
blaming everything on generals
i m pretty sure the generals are also corrupting your ANA
trust me if you were up against generals then you would have been in 1999 talib regime by now
oh wait let the Americans go
both you and i know
sooner or later it is going to be them all over again

TTP empowermint.
then despite being in Afghanistan you are not informed of this situation
let me give you an example
TTP specifically baitullah mehsud killed Colonel Imam
no one Afghan or Pakistani
hating generals or loving them can deny the Legend
now if you know him you would know what this means

Wrong- Do you know how many Helicopters Soviets had there ? The Gernals won't stop- Not unless you give them another Job- Another Job of fighting the War in their own territory and not yours-

That is an interesting way of solving the issue.

Taliban problem can't be solved by force, only time & Education can solve such problem. If you attach religion to any movement, the only thing that can stop it is "Education", educate Afghan citizens, stop the radical mullahs from spreading lies and control the state media and start showing pro-government news.

See we suffer from the same problem in Kashmir, only solution to such problem is time & education, India has much more resources to perform any type of attack we want, but instead we have opted for peaceful way, otherwise we have far more jets and tanks and we can carry our very own zard-e-azb kind of mission.

Afghans deported from Pak are in desperate need of aid and India is funding and celebrating inauguration of palaces!
Messed up priorities!
We should start charging Afghanistan for hosting their refugees!
