Keep it real dude.
Given a half chance, almost 99.9% Indians will not even think twice to leave India and opt for education in any Western country.
I know it is bitter, but truth is never sweet.
Spot on...We are always habitual offender in accepting the truth...I think some of the discussion in PDF should be discussed without any influence of India and Pakistan rivallary. Then only, it can be a healthy discussion.
Fact is that Indian education system was not as bad as it is presented everywhere in each generation. It is an as usual typical escapist mentality that we always subscribe to have an easy answer to the complex problem. My son is going to top rating beginner school in Texas. So i beleive like me, most of the NRI parents like me understand what is the deal in so called US education system. The critical factor behind success of Indian or i will say Asian kids that includes Indian kids is their supplemental ecosystem of parents who provide additional guidiance to their kids based on their Indian education system. If those Indian kids would have gone completely in the same way like other regular kids, they would have been another tom and Joe in American talent list.
Now coming to the point of why people come out to US rather than India, answer is simple...It is all about less pain in having better quality of life in comparison to India...Even also US education system will be as equal to India in next 30 year, if the quality of life and the struggle to survive in India does not change, the eagerness to immigrate to US from India will always remain high. It is better to get real and address out situation than just celebrating a success which may be not owned by us.
This story is not applicable for NRI only, it is the story of most of the immigrant to their respective parent country.
