He has one more stage of qualifying to go, right now I think he's within qualifying range, medal prospects are unknown as unlike 10m air rifle or double trap in 25m RFP the points from qualifying won't be carried over to the finals.

Very close fight indeed.... My gut feeling was that american boxer did well.... Specialy last round he gave vijender good punches and vijender too gave punch but may be vijender was bit behind in point yet refree gave points in vijender's account.... May be because vijender is crowd puller. Nevertheless vijender did faught well against aggressive american boxer.... i hope he wont play like this or we are out. Vijender has to be bit aggressive. The american boxer was bit fast in moves and punches and had good reach towards vijender.... He had like lightning fast punches....
@soumya the vijay kumar is at 5th position and tomarrow he again come to qualify and than after qualify it will be finals....

Little correction.... i meant judges and not refree....

so we have two players just a win away from an assured medal:

Vijendar Singh - Up against Uzbek boxer whom he had beaten in Asian games final

Saina Nehwal - Up against World no. 1

what happened to Saina match, it was 1:30 PM.

Can anybody update about it?

Bad news,

Saina has lost in the semi-finals to a much superior player on the day. The final score is 21-13, 21-13 in a match that lasted 39 minutes. The Indian will now hope to win a bronze by beating the other losing semi-finalist.

KARMAKAR Joydeep qualified for final round in Men's 50m Rifle Prone shooting...
