Well We did reach higher peaks in both Hockey and Squash then you did in badminton or tennis .
That is a matter of debate....given tennis level of competition/presence/prestige/viewership internationally compared to field hockey and squash. I mean what is the total networth of all hockey and squash players compared to just one major tennis player?

Mirza has never won a single's grandslam how is she even comparable to someone like Sohail Abbas or jansher who won 10 british open ?
I was talking about Mirza about the context of that the regression has not been so glaring. If you want to compare the pak squash players (peak wise/dominance)....the better comparison would be to Paes/Bhupathi who have the longest unbroken davis cup streak in tennis history (and its not an easy feat) in addition to all their grand slam and tournament wins.
Mirza, Bopanna and others should be compared to current Pak Squash players instead....and the comparison is quite a glaring one.

1 medal isn't shocking for 1.25 billion people ? Pakistan population is 6 times less. If you win 6 golds that would make you even with us .
That would need Pakistan to win 1 gold or even just 1 medal. To be 6 times or any number times (including infinity) better than you.....India needs to win just 1 medal.....because any number is infinite times better than 0.
So let Pakistan break its long medal drought in olympics and we can talk about how many times India is better than you on per capita terms.
For the case to be that a denominator for Pakistan is non-zero in the first place ....we have to go to competitions with fewer countries like Commonwealth games and Asian games. In these Pakistan does far far worse than India in per capita basis in the last 20 or so years.....especially compared to how Pakistan was once performing.
The terrible decline of Pakistan sporting is quite evident there too.

As for Bangladesh they suck at everything . Music , sports , movies , serials , poverty pretty much everything that i can think of they suck at it pretty bad . Has the distinction of never winning a medal in olympics amongst countries having a big population
Yup its why they are the most butthurt about it. I genuinely do respect Pakistan sporting prowess in the past and what it once achieved. I want you to understand I want Pakistan to achieve it again, it deserves to!....and it will be a lot more fun to see better representation from South Asia as whole. I will cheer Pak athletes in squash, hockey and whatever else you can muster (unless its a game against India of course hehe)....but Pakistan has to introspect and fix the system to get that going again instead of dwelling on the past history. Be again what you were before!....it is healthy competition for all involved. I have seen what badminton, gymnastics, wrestling in these games are doing to inspire regular Indians....so Pakistan certainly needs that inspiration too that it can prove to her citizens that it can compete at the highest levels of sport with valour and honour.....and give a good run for money against the others!
But you cannot withdraw and say oh well we were really great at something x number of years ago....and lets be content with that. Thats what I am trying to convey here
@Khan_21 lets continue here since thread got closed/deleted
@ranjeet @arp2041 @Nilgiri thought this guy was cleared to wrestle.. what changed all of a sudden?
He lost the appeal I guess. He was cleared by the country doping agency NADA (they accepted it was conspiracy whatever given his track record)....but looks like it did not hold up in the international doping agency WADA at olympics hearing.
I always found his claim a bit shoddy to be honest. Sad that he replaced Sushil Kumar who would have got a medal for us most likely.
