I have to agree with this as well. I think its a case of the politicos and some defence analysts buying US led Western press fear mongering of China.I think it's more of a case that India, particularly certain self professed defense analysts there getting caught in the fear mongering by the west lead by the US.. Whatever the overly jingoistic posters here may suggest the fact remains neither India as the regional power nor any of it's neighbors want a antagonistic relationship.. All stakeholders know that a friendly India is needed for their own stability and economic development and India knows a peaceful neighborhood is paramount to their ambitions.. No state will upset that apple cart willingly..
I disagree here. The region has come a long way since the cold war days and Indira Gandhi(imo was a c@nt of misery), Now trade and economic's have presided over politics
Was off for a whole week.Must be off for the weekend.. Expect the usual hissy fits come Monday..
I disagree here.
Indira Gandhi did a great service to South Asia simply by dividing Pakistan into two.
Pakistan right now is in a full home grown jihadi mess and unstable nation with nuclear weapons with bare minimum economic growth keeping pace with their high population growth.
Now on the other hand, BD is a relatively far more stable and free society which is progressing economically and is already more developed than India in social indicators. That is worth applauding. They are focussed on economy and raising the standard of living of their people.
And to think under Pakistan, BD would have been cesspool of nukes and jihad that Pakistan is.
