It's certainly a big step for india. The only carrier you have now is some WW2 hand me down from the UK

So all the green shaded area is the extra stuff added to the Gorshkov. The superstructure was not so much in the middle, and was pretty much right near the edge before the modifications!

I guess they should be able to park few migs on the right side of the superstructure too?

Let's see how long it really takes for INS Vikramaditya to enter service, considering that the ship already suffered a fire and the indian economy is collapsing. Maybe this one will end up in the Russian fleet yet

It will certainly be inducted before Chinese carrier & there was no fire & India is still second fastest growing economy, Russians could not afford it that's why they decommissioned it in 90s

China is far ahead as usual. Varyag is already doing flight operations and we have two more Varyag-class carriers under construction.

We are inducting Vikramaditya & plans are for atleast 6 more carriers in 2 decades or so.

the only thing u did was CTRL C + CTRL V....btw last i heard china bought VARYAG for SCIENTIFIC PURPOSES...with NO PLANS to convert it into a full fledged ac...

the decision...as anticipated...has obviously turned out false...dunno how many glitches varyag went through considering the failures are never made public in CTRL C + CTRL V

1st.varayag will be a training ship(or casino i don't care)..but it will not be used in war..so,China is still waiting for its proper 1st ac i guess..

2nd.India will have 3 ac within 2016.

3rd.China has nil experience with operating AC(except managing casinos in them,i don't count it as AC operation)..whn India has more than 50 years of experience..

now don't drop megaton F@@rt here in frustration..

I doubt that, these narrow space will be used to place the migs..
In the model they have shown more space than the real ship..Still don't know whether it will be able to carry 16-18 migs or not..
