^ Nice work arp2041.....
I am sure IN had thought about this long time back, a lot more subs, frigates and destroyers are already in the making. Indian Navy has planned to have three operational battle groups by 2020. So even if each battlegoup has 4 frigates and one sub, Indian navy would need lot more newer frigates and submarines in the next eight years.

well Indian carrier group consists of 5 big ships & 2-3 support vessels, the five ships include 2 destroyers + 2 frigates + 1 sub (maybe 2 for bigger ACs like INS Vikrant), If we consider that India will have 3 carrier battle group, there are already many frigates, destroyers & subs are on order so that a formidable carrier group can be formed.
as far as frigates are concerned, India will be having (till 2020) - 9 talwar class + 3 shivalik class + 4-5 P-17A + 3 Brahmaputra class + 1 or 2 Godavari class = 21 or 22 frigates ( of which 6 will be needed for CBG)
Destroyers - 3 Delhi class + 1 or 2 Rajput class + 3 Kolkata class + 2-3 P-15B = around 10 destroyers (of which 6 will be needed for CBG)
submarines - 5 kilo class + 2 akulas + 3 arihant class + 9 (6+3follow on) scorpene class + 4-5 P 75I = 24 submarines ( of which again only 6 will be needed for CBG).
so i don't think there will be shortage of ships for supporting Indian Carrier group effort in the future
