Pakistan should bring a law offering citizenship for such victims. India is not safe for muslims. This bill will highlight India's persecution and may be change the narrative around Pakistan. I hope Pakistan is smart enough to do it. I hope Muslims will find it safe in Pakistan.

I don't think some people--both Indians and Pakistanis-- had caught your sarcasm. LOL! Just like the sarcasm / trolling of some others here--well, I will not mention their names.

As for this asylum request, now that I have seen the videos of the father/son duo, they seem genuine and should be given the asylum in Pakistan. What kind of harm they can do to Pakistan knowing how how many illegals are freely spread over Pakistan? The father is an ailing 70 year old and son is a promising young man.

They are educated and articulated and can start their You Tube channel from Pakistan to tell their 'story' about living in Modi's India. And there HAS to be some truth in their story because I have lots of relatives in India--close ones--who, very carefully, mention their own fears about living in India. And my relatives are not some Mullah types.

That's what the Hindu enemy wants, you need to do the opposite, you need to increase the population, start bringing the population from areas where they are small and into areas where they can form majorities

This is a war against the Hindu enemy, a war the Indian Muslims must fight and win

They chose not to listen to Jinnah and now must act to defend their community

You are too harsh on Indian Muslims. True, Pakistan cannot accept that anymore in large numbers but the Indian Muslims had played an outsized role in the creation of Pakistan and, from looking at some Indian blogs, there is special hatred of the Muhajirs of Pakistan along with Indian Muslims for the role played in the creation of Pakistan.
But, yes, IF the rabid Hindutva is going to go too far, then Indian Muslims should concentrate in border areas with Pakistan and Bangladesh and carve out a new country.

PS. Migration is not easy!!! Here I have a comfortable life in America but often think of other places--really wanting to move to some places. But migration is not easy. And I don't even have any 'deep roots' in the region where I live. Indian Muslims had migrated to Pakistan in larger numbers, uprooting their generations old presence. AND the most important point to consider in that narrative: They were not literally and absolutely threatened had they stayed in India unlike much of 'ethnic cleansing' that has been done in 20th century and later. Heck, going on in N. Karabagh right now!!

Don't worry, they hate everyone (punjabi, Sindhis, pakhtoon, secular, Islamists, urban, rural)
Cause hate is in their very blood

They'll get asylum hopefully - but my point was more towards large scale migration not them specifically

Either get lynched by hindutva mobs in India or murdered by Pakistani Military Establishment in Pakistan.

South Asian Muslims live oppressed enslaved desolate lives either side of the border.

Yes, they will and should get the asylum. BTW, mass migration from India is not possible unlike from Afghanistan. So everyone should just chill off on that. Not saying YOU are but no need to be xenophobic.
Just contrast the father-son duo with 1000 Afghan refugees!! Just like the Muhajirs made the fledgling Pakistan state to survive and thrive, people like this father-son duo are the kind of immigrants ANY country would want. It is not the quantity: It is the quality!

I am watching their video right now:

The interview I mentioned above is absolutely phenomenal!!! The guy not only has great knowledge about Indian politics but is also aware of Pakistan's politics; he seems to be a big fan of Imran Khan but wouldn't say in the interview due to fears of the on-going persecution in Pakistan. He says that where the Indian Muslims are better organized, they are faring well. He is also well aware of Pakistan's economic issues but also says that, barring a few good areas in some Indian cities, Pakistan is still cleaner than India. He is also highlighting how big money has bought the Indian media under Modi and how little, with the exception of 'The Hindu' newspaper, the Indian media is muzzled and co-opted.

The interview is well worth watching again and again. The guy needs to be promoted in Pakistan.

.
Hindutvas have it all figured out - push their "excess" Muslims to either Pakistan or Bangladesh.

This is the last thing that should be allowed.

What Pakistan and Bangladesh should do - is give these occurrences as much social media mileage as possible.

We don't do enough of that...

Show the world what Indian administration under Modi is actually all about - that is Fascism and Religious repression.

We will be so happy. Actually, lot of idiots during partition voted for Pakistan but did not travelled. They were in millions. Pakistani government even thanked Nehru and Gandhi for making sure they did not go. Basically, they told them not to worry you will be fine. A lot of Indian thinks it’s cheating, if you voted you should have gone. After 75 years only two idiot gone. That’s a very low number. Jinke pass dimag hai unko pata hai ke wahan future kharab hi hai. Yeah dono pakka gadhe hain.

I genuinely think they should see Pakistan as a destination to avoid persecution in India especially your educated relatives. Tell your relatives to open a YouTube channel after reaching Pakistan. Most Hindus would support them in their endeavor, only condition is that they never come back or claim India as their country. I am pretty sure none of your relatives would want to do that.

Coded words for ethnic cleansing. Why would my relatives leave India for any other place? They had a chance and they chose to stay in India. That's their home. They should, along with sensible Indians, work toward improving India from inside. But if the Muslims of India are really cornered, they should form solid political blocks and/or move to the border areas near Pakistan and Bangladesh.
Pakistan is not capable or willing to take in large numbers of Indian Muslims but on case by case basis, like this father son duo, they should be accommodated.

Lol. Muslims demanded ethnic cleansing in 1947. Now it's a taboo?

Two Indian citizens, who purportedly illegally travelled to Karachi last week, said on Tuesday that they were “ready to go to jail” but did not want to return to their home country.

According to the Karachi police, Mohammad Hasnain and Ishaq Ameer allegedly entered Pakistan through the Pak-Afghan border in a bid to seek asylum over threats to their lives due to religious persecution in India. They then reportedly found their way to Karachi.

Karachi Deputy Inspector General of Police (South) Asad Raza told Dawn.com that the father-son duo “were not suspected of being spies but were considered victims of religious bias and persecution in India”.

The official said both the Indian nationals had “temporarily been housed in an Edhi Shelter home”, adding that “it looks like they want to seek asylum here”.

Separately, a statement issued by the Artillery Ground police station today said the two men staged a protest outside the Karachi Press Club on September 25 (Sunday) against atrocities faced by Muslims in India.

“We are ready to go to jail but not back to India,” they were quoted as saying in the police statement. “We will be killed as soon as we step on Indian land if we are deported.”

“If you want to kill us, kill us in Pakistan. At least we will get some land (for burial). In India, we won’t even get that,” the statement quoted them as saying.

The statement further quoted them as saying that they had visited the Sindh police chief’s office but their concerns were not addressed.

“Edhi gave us shelter for four days and will shift us somewhere else today. Our official Indian documents are with the Edhi staff,” the father-son duo were quoted as saying.

The statement added that the Indian nationals undertook a 14-day journey from their residence in the Gautampuri area of New Delhi before entering Pakistan.

The statement also shed light on how they travelled from India to Pakistan. It said both of them were facing legal issues.

This is my story’: Indian nationals narrate their journey

Speaking to media outside the press club yesterday, Hasnain had said he and his son had left New Delhi on September 5 for the UAE from where they reached out to the Afghanistan embassy for a visa.

“Then we travelled to Kabul from where we flew to Kandahar,” he had said. “Kandahar has a soft border through which people cross across into Pakistan. We spent one night at the border town and then continued our journey to Pakistan.

“This is my story.”

Hasnain had added that after entering Pakistan, they paid a man Rs60,000 to transport them to Karachi.

“The atrocities being inflicted on Muslims in India are not reported there,” he continued. “Since the Modi government came into power, newspapers, electronic and print media all have sided with Modi.”

Hasnain said there was a very small section in the media that highlighted the problems being faced by Muslims. “Their way is that if a Muslim is caught over something, even while protesting, they bulldoze his home saying that it is built illegally.

“I am not the first person to leave the country. Many have before me. But they were rich and could afford foreign citizenship in Europe, America, Britain, Germany, or Canada,” he said.

“Those who are well off migrated to Turkey, Azerbaijan, or Malaysia. I did not have that stature. I had less money.”

In reply to a question, Hasnain added that he was denied a hotel room in Karachi because he did not possess an identification card.

Hasnain’s son Ameer also spoke to the media. “My father is 70 years old and my age is 31. When we reached Karachi, our first stop was Orangi Town after which we directly went to the office of IG Sindh.

“As soon as we reached there, we kept our baggage on the side, raised our hands, and said we are here to surrender. When we were asked what are we surrendering for, we said we have fled India and come here.”

Ameer confirmed that they requested the police to give them refuge after telling them the entire story of how they travelled illegally into Pakistan. The police directed them to go to an Edhi shelter home.
Please give them citizenship and if their all 7generations wants to reside there please let them in
