Indian Muslims upset after PM Modi sends greetings to Muslims

So there is no difference between an ordinary person sending his wishes and an elected prime minister sending his wishes ?

There is a difference. But Modi is within his rights not to greet someone.

.
Hafiz Shabbir (MLC) added:

“This is strange. In the last two years Prime Minister Modi has never issued any congratulatory message to Muslims on the occasion of Eid and other Muslim festivals. But, he has sent a letter wishing success to Ahmadiyya community”
As i said damned if he does and damned if he doesnt.

So there is no difference between an ordinary person sending his wishes and an elected prime minister sending his wishes ?
personally i dont believe in secular head of state delivering such messages. they should simply stick to sending messages for independence day, republic day or gandhis birthday. It is only a courtesy to send message not a requirement as such. Unfortunately we live in a media age where everything is subject to interpretation of their own fancy.

News article about Modi wishing Muslims Eid:
September 2015
July 2015
Facebook post wishing Eid in July 2014
Twitter post wishing Eid in October 2014

You and this MLC needs to get their facts right and stop complaining without any facts to back their claims.

Are Shias considered as Muslims?
yeh they are muslims.shia is a sect of islam like other sects.
i dont have problems with qadyanis.but they are not Muslims.they dont believe in basic rules of Islam.

.
Its not as simple as you think :)
to be a Muslim there is a criteria which one has to fulfill , ISIS and AQ also claimed to be Muslims but we all know what kind and how much they know about Islam ..
If you are not lying Then why muslim umaah never declared them non-Muslims, why?
Are Ahmadiyah are more dangerous to society than ISIS, AL quida, TTP, Boko haram and similar terrorists which are clinsing earth of non Muslims on the name of Allah.
This is another example of bigotry Muslims used to do, and now it's spreading in India too, thanks to some great Ummah champs
They don't to be true Muslims but don't even try to be humans

Agree :)
i never claimed myself to be a Good or even Average Muslim ..
I openly admit that i follow some parts of Islam .. not the complete Religion ... so if tomorrow i commit a crime , the news will be created as a " Muslim " do this and that and so on ...
So if they themselves are not true followers of Muslims how they can demand others to follow Islam strictly
Isn't it should have been very generous of Muslims to allow others to follow Islam/Quran as much as they can and not strangulate them for not following Islam absolutely

Indian Muslims upset after PM Modi sends greetings to Muslims | Rabwah Times

In an odd move Indian Muslim leaders have criticized Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi for sending greetings to Muslims.

In a letter written on 21st December 2015 Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised Ahmadiyya Muslim Community for its religious tolerance and universal brotherhood. He wished success to ‘Khilafat-e-Ahmadiyya Centenary’ celebrations which are taking place in Qadian this month. Thousands of Pakistani Ahmadis are also taking part in the celebrations.

In his letter PM Modi said:

“It is a matter of pleasure to know that Khilafat-e-Ahmadiyya Centenary will be celebrated at its headquarters Qadian Dist. Gurdaspur, Punjab and a souvenir is being published to mark the occasion. I wish success to the centenary celebration”.

Indian Muslim leaders which include Member of the Indian Legislative Council (MLC) have criticized Modi for congratulating the Ahmadiyya Muslims. Hafiz Peer Shabbir Ahmed, MLC and President of Jamiat Ulama Telangana and Andhra Pradesh in a statement said:

“This has hurt the sentiments of Indian Muslims. If Modi thinks Ahmadiyya’s are Muslims then he has to correct himself. Ahmadiyya’s are not Muslims and it is the decision of Muslims world over”

Hafiz Shabbir (MLC) added:

“This is strange. In the last two years Prime Minister Modi has never issued any congratulatory message to Muslims on the occasion of Eid and other Muslim festivals. But, he has sent a letter wishing success to Ahmadiyya community”

India has a huge Ahmadiyya Muslim population which is spread across Kerala, Rajasthan, Odisha, Haryana, Bihar, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and in Qadian, Punjab.

Mainstream Muslims consider Ahmadiyya Muslims to be heretics and in neighboring Pakistan they were declared non-Muslim in 1974, However under Indian Law the Ahmadis are regarded as Muslims.

In April this year a delegation from Ahmadiyya Muslim Community also met with PM Modi in New Delhi.

Do Hindus believe in this claim of Mirza Ghulam Ahmed?

It is often mentioned that Ghulam Ahmad claimed to be the Hindu God Krishna. This claim is arguably the most misunderstood of his claims and most often misquoted. According to Ahmad, Krishna was not God but a prophet of God and the Sanskrit term Avatar synonymous with the terms Prophet and Messenger which are popular within the Middle Eastern religious traditions. He published various revelations which he claimed to have received informing him of this, one such revelation addressing him was:

“ O Krishna slayer of swine, protector of cows, thy praise is recorded in the Gita. ”

In a lecture given in Sialkot in 1904 he declared that God had informed him that Krishna who had appeared among the Aryas thousands of years ago was indeed a prophet of God upon whom the Holy Spirit would descend from God but that later his teachings were corrupted and he began to be worshipped.[17] Here he claimed that he was the avatar whom the Hindus were awaiting in the latter days and that he had appeared in the likeness of Krishna invested with the same qualities.[2] and in his capacity as such he set out to explain and correct what he perceived to be the erroneous beliefs of the Hindus of his time such as the worship of many Gods and the transmigration of souls.

It's down to individuals to believe in what he/she wants to believe, it's not for the state to decide for them. I am fine with any religion as long as it's followers as law abiding citizens and contribute positively of their motherland.
