Indian Navy

Issued in 1968 to commemorate Navy Day, the stamp depicts INS Nilgiri, the first indigenously built frigate of the Indian Navy.

Issued in 1981 to mark Navy Day. The stamp shows INS Taragiri

Issued in 1986 to mark the completion of 25 years of service of India's first aircraft carrier INS Vikrant

INS Delhi - Issued in 1998

President's Review of the Fleet, 1984: A set of four stamps issued in 1984 to mark the review of the Indian naval fleet by President Fakruddin Ali Ahmed. The stamps (clockwise from top left) show the Sea Harrier jump jet, the aircraft carrier INS Vikrant, a missile-guided destroyer and the submarine INS Vela.

Issued in 1989 on the occasion of the Review of the Fleet by President R Venkatraman. The stamp depicts a Task Force and the Naval Ensign.

Issued in 2001 to mark the International Fleet Review (IFR) by President K R Narayanan.
