From a very long time I wanted to discuss about the fourth estate of Indian Democracy - INDIAN MEDIA.
I mean, this is not something we can ignore any longer, Indian media forms public opinion & is given a responsibility to make our society aware.
There was a huge uproar in news media over ROTI incident, but no one din't even bothered when there were murderers & riots in UP.
Now I came across this news:
Over 4,200 detonators recovered in Bihar
Has anyone of the so-called GREAT Media (NDTV, Timesnow, etc.) bothered to show what can be called as REAL NEWS.
They are more worried about what Israel is doing to Gaza & what GOI doing to stop Israel, have they asked what GOI is doing to curb inflation, get back on the growth path, why there is no independent defense minister yet, etc.?
Media (& people of India) wakes upto the reality of the sorry state of Indian sports only when a tiny nation like Scotland beats us in ranking at CWG or when we don't make it to the World event like Fifa-2014. Why don't they ask this question earlier???
Open any news channel, wishing you can watch some good debates, but you are let down by some BS discussion over why Rahul Baba suddenly woke up from his sleep, or is Modi Autocratic (this was been discussed even before the day he took oath).
NATION WANTS TO KNOW, WHERE WILL OUR NATION GO, IF ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT PILLAR OF DEMOCRACY WILL FORGET IT'S DUTY?
