I have to agree with you though. Reality is not something we are every able to truly perceive in its entirety. The Atlantic did a good segment on the nature of reality called "case against reality" having to do with neuroscience and how what we perceive to be important or true is always distorted and piecemeal of the greater whole. We are all shaped by unconscious bias and prejudices while some may be cultural, others a physiological or experiential. How a tall person see the world is different from a short person but whose to say whose viewpoint is the truth.

We will soon get a SAO type virtual reality which will change the world for Good .

Yes it is a popular theory. Elon Musk and a bunch of tech billionaires believes we are living in a simulation. We are living in the matrix dude...*tinfoil hat* and only drugs like DMT and meditations will let you see beyond the fabric of reality.... I think some people are trying develop drugs instead of machines to live out a simulated trip like a movie or dream. I tried VR and still it wasn't convincing enough for me I still felt I was inside a machine.
