Indian media exposes reality of farmer's protest

We should not show our weakness here, and our Government should come forward like Canadian PM and openly support the Sikh farmer. It is high time for Pakistan, and shouldn't lose the Sikh community sentiment. We need to give at least some kind of Gov official statement like Canadian PM in their support.

It’s not helpful at this stage for Pakistan to show support for their cause. Rather, it would delegitimizate their indigenous efforts. Look at the timetable for what happened in east Pakistan, and at what stage India intervened.

While there is no indication Pakistan has any involvement in this recent revolt, this is the time to work on ourselves while the enemy is tied down in their own problems.

We have to be principled in this matter. Why should we support this farmers movement? First analyze whether their demands and cause is ethical or not. Among their demands is that stubble burning be decriminalized. Stubble burning is contributing to enormous amount of pollution that affects the entire region. Cities are choking on smog thanks to these stupid farmers. The rest of their demands are totally backward and regressive. This is the 21st century, reform is necessary. In particular, it is necessary to introduce electronic trading and e-commerce, which the backward farmers have a problem with

Your enemy is at their weakest. China, Covid, economy, farmers. Trump is gone and the alleged Indian involvement in destabilization. I say strike now.

We either behaved like the US/Isreal at that time. but issue was, We didn't have a Geo-strategist like Henry Kissinger during the east Pakistan Era who may help us manage the collateral damage, built us BD like Alaska, and create a border between India and Pakistan just like Canada-USA. We have learned the hard way, so we shouldn't waste our time giving some statements to keep Sikh sentiment. You can confirm with our NSA if I am wrong.

Three contentious bills that will change the way India's farmers do business , This controversial agriculture bills as Modi government's “death warrant” for farmers. If you belong to the agriculture farming industry, you understand this bill, or if not, then a blind man like Hindutva. This was not a political issue but Hindutva and Godi Media turn it into a political issue.

You need staying power, which we don’t have at this time, to change the chess board. Operation Gibraltar in ‘65 and the battle of Jalalabad in Feb. ‘89 after the Soviets pulled out, going from a guerrilla struggle to a conventional struggle too soon will crush your momentum when it has barely begun. During the US-Vietnam war, the North Vietnamese launched the Tet offensive in ‘68. While they won the psychological war, it crushed the conventional capabilities for years.

You are misreading the local populace. They still have strong bonds with their society.

Remeber the lessons of the 2006 Lebanon war. When the local population is at minimum neutral you are seen as the aggressor. The recent Azerbaijan war showed that when the population isn’t involved, then it is a purely military struggle, just like ‘48 in Kashmir.

If we want to do anything, we need to clean up the mess at home. Build institutions that will keep corrupt and traitorous politicians in check. Turn a negative on itself, use FATF as the pretext to reform the whole damn system. Strength the libel laws to properly form the ground to investigate misinformation campaigns in the media and go after them by all legal means. Restrict the judiciary to enforcing the laws not legislating from the bench. Empower the people to fix all the little problems in their areas so they don’t have a chance to grow into big problems. Exand micro-finance to entrepreneurs and new university grads so they can make a difference even if we don’t have a job to give them right out of school. Lobby the new Biden administration to funding tree planting around the world to help feed people now and grow arable land so people will be able to feed themselves into the future.

The current government won’t be there forever, but institutions can last, if they are empowered. And for God’s sake we need to build up a diversified economy when the world in reordering itself. We can’t afford to be at the mercy of the Gulf Arabs anymore. We can’t be dependent on remittances forever.

This side show in Indian Punjab and Delhi is just the flavor of the month. It’s a pressure value being turned to feed indian news channels while they wait out the second wave of COVID, and the economic impacts.

We don’t have money to waste on Indian farmers, when we should be helping our own farmers get back their cotton yields and investing to improve yields.

You talk about what Israel would do. Since 2006, they have learned to go to full war is pointless because they will never have the support of any local populace around them. Hezbollah is too strong in Lebanon, and has enough sway over the Lebanese government.

Let Delhi simmer while we get our house in order.
