agree with you......i hate indian media....
full of negativity .......specially times group ......ABP,AAJTAK ,IBM
The tragedy is that they have such mindsets of Indian viewers alas they will act and show what those audience want to watch and hear, if you go through the thread, the reaction of some Indian members proves my point. At least during calamities these dirty games should be left out for the sake of the victims.

Well it is a very well known fact that how TRP crazy are our media....... It has been discussed in various threads and almost every Indian member agrees to this..... Some of us even feel disgusted by it (over all performance of Indian Media)...... It is shocking that, the effort put in by various Indian agencies in nepal during quake was drowned in the controversies created by Indian media....What ever goodwill (though the intention was to help only) gained by those efforts were screwed by these controversies....

Like i believe that beef controversy was not intentional or rather a mistake, I believe the intention here is not to defame Pak, but to get some rozy headlines and create a thread line for their night talk shows....

Let us not Blame India or Indian Govt for this.......

.
Poor Pakistan ............ first they breed terrorists and use Terrorism as a instrument of state policy, and then the evil Indian media and Indian "mind set" Blames them for it :P

Then they send beef to a Starving Hindu Nation and again the evil Indian media and "indian mindset" blame them

What a world, not letting pakistan practice terrorism and jihad in peace. Evil Yindoooss...and Evil Yehudis.

The drawback with Nepal is that our country does not fare well in global media. We hardly get covered internationally and even when we do get some media attention it is largely related to negative news – such as the royal massacre or the Mt Everest avalanche tragedy.

This time too, Nepal has made it to every headline around the world due to a travesty. A 7.9 magnitude earthquake struck Nepal killing more than 7000 people and leaving thousands injured. According to the United Nations and the government of Nepal, around eight million individuals have been affected by the devastating earthquake.

Nepal falls under the category of Least Developed Countries (LDC) and therefore, economically, Nepal’s treasury cannot withstand the devastation caused by the earthquake. Therefore, in order to recover from such a massive blow, Nepal was in need of a lot of assistance. Numerous amounts of aid, assistance and support from our neighbouring giants, China and India, were much-needed (and expected) through every step of our search and rescue programs.

Technical search and rescue teams began landing at Nepal’s only international airport, Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) and basic humanitarian support began pouring-in to our quake-affected capital, Kathmandu and its fringe districts including the epicentre, Gorkha district, a few hours after the earthquake.

Search and rescue teams were imperative in order to give respite to quake-hit areas. As a result, strong technical teams from China, India, Pakistan, Israel, Turkey, Japan, Netherlands, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Spain, Bangladesh, Poland, Thailand, USA, Maldives, Qatar and few other nations were sent to Kathmandu.

China and India sent larger rescue teams along with standby teams waiting at their international airports. The Indian team seemed to only be concerned with rescuing Indian nationals residing in Nepal. TIA was overcrowded due to hundreds of Indians waiting to be airlifted and a large number of Indian planes parked at the runway. This caused utter chaos since it disrupted the schedule of other planes that had to land. For instance, a plane from China had to be sent back because the airport was overflowing with Indian planes and passengers. A TIA official stated that TIA was virtually being controlled by Indians.

Kathmandu witnessed a large number of Indian soldiers and media-persons. Quake affected locals reported that the Indian search and rescue teams on social media were reporting and advertising rather than rescuing survivors. Three Indian helicopters rescued 118 people, whereas four Nepalese helicopters rescued 656 people,

The reason behind this gaping difference in rescued people was that the Indian aircraft was only concerned with airlifting Indians; moreover, they reported this incident on Indian news channels under the pretence that Indians are rescuing Nepalese survivors – and not just Indian nationals. Apart from this incorrect coverage, India has been vocally anti-Pakistan since the beginning of this tragedy.

Online media reported that India hinted to the Nepalese foreign ministry to not allow Pakistani support through, ensuring that India would do everything instead. However, the foreign ministry did not oblige to India’s request and Pakistani aid started to pour into Nepal, in the form of sacks of eatables and relief materials.

The Indian media kept a close tab on Pakistani goods and searched every possible loophole to blame the Pakistanis in some issue or the other. Later on, the Indian media reported that Pakistani relief materials contained ‘beef masala’. This became a topic of controversy since the relief packages were sent to a Hindu-majority republic.

Pakistani foreign office spokesperson, Tasnim Aslam, cleared the issue by publically announcing that,

“There was no beef content in the ready-to-eat food dispatched by Pakistan to Nepal.”

Despite this official clearance on the accusation and no statement by Nepal, the Indian media are turning the issue into a propaganda aimed at derailing relations between Pakistan and Nepal. Many Nepalese were saddened by the Indian propaganda which was aimed at damaging Nepal’s proximity with Pakistan.

Officials at the Nepalese Press Council, Nepal’s media monitoring authority, and the former chairperson of the organisation of Nepali journalists, Suva Gaule, and many other Nepalese were critical of India’s anti-Pakistan activities in Kathmandu, as reported by Nepal’s popular online news portal onlinekhabar.com.

Hindu volunteer organisations and its activists are at the forefront of the anti-Pakistan activities in Nepal. Popular yoga guru, Ramdev, was at the forefront of the beef propaganda, as was obvious from his Facebook updates. However, beef masala was not of any concern amongst Nepalese citizens.

Instead, numerous famous artists and citizens staged a demonstration against unnecessary Indian interference in Nepal.

Nepal is a Hindu-majority Himalayan nation; it is not a ‘Hindu kingdom’ as described by India’s Zee News. Nepal is a federal democratic republic as well as a secular nation. True, the Nepali Civil Code Amendment 1990 has made cow-slaughtering punishable by 12 years in prison, but, it does not mean imported beef items are completely banned. No Nepali law states a ban on beef items from foreign countries. At present, Kathmandu’s star hotels import beef items to serve foreigners.

The entire point of sensationalising such a petty issue only reflected badly upon the Indian government, not Pakistan.

Indian media and beef controversy: Using Nepal’s tragedy to defame Pakistan – The Express Tribune Blog

Basically a Nepalese Bitch slapping the Indians.

Has no one noticed that this is a bloody blog?! That too on a pakistani news site?
How the hell is this news?! which newspaper is endorsing the views of the author? What are Mr. Gautam's credentials that we should give him a listen? Which editor reviewed and confirmed this story (more like concoction)? certainly not express tribune as stated at the bottom of the article....all unanswered questions...

The story reads too contrived!

First Yemen, then Nepal. India has indeed done a credible job no doubt. And Pakistan should try to increase it's logistic capability rather wasting money on these unproductive efforts of blaming eachother. As the world is looking towards India and calling it a soft power Pakistan has a long way to go boys. Atleast we should try our capability in war hit zones, once this Zarb e Azb concludes.

Wrong.... Right Now Indian media (i am talking about those idiotic one which gets reported every day in PDF) has no clue what Indian viewers want, they are assuming things and creating programs based on their assumptions...... But they are not realising in every passing day they are loosing viewership's.....Now common men started raising voice against the way indian media is operating.....

if you go through the thread, the reaction of some Indian members proves my point

Wrong again, Posters here doesn't prove anything, and posters here or their attitude (including mine) doesnt represent 1.2 billion Indians.......Some of them even dont mean what they say here.... just want to score points when it is availble(by the way that is not exclusive to indians posters).....But if youwant to cherry pick then......

At least during calamities these dirty games should be left out for the sake of the victims.

I agree

Indian media has come under fierce criticism for its coverage of Nepal's deadly earthquake, with thousands of Nepalis taking to social media to criticise perceived patriotic and sensationalist reporting by journalists covering the aftermath.

The hashtag #GoHomeIndianMedia was trending for a third day in Nepal on Wednesday, along with stories accusing Indian TV channels of serving the interests of the Indian government.

Posts on Twitter and Facebook claimed some reporters were falsifying reports to make the government of Prime Minister Narendra Modi look better, rather than focusing on the disaster.

Siddharth Varadarajan, a former editor at The Hindu newspaper and a founding member of The Wire, told Al Jazeera that some reporting clearly indicated a bias in favour of the Indian government.

"Many of those reporting were defence reporters embedded with the military," Varadarajan said.

"Sadly a section of them did portray the delivery of aid and rescue efforts as a victory for Modi and his government,

"Press coverage, however, has been far more restrained and nuanced than TV coverage of the tragedy," Varadarajan added.

Indian journalists are also accused of intruding on grieving families, asking inappropriate questions.

A reporter was accused of asking how a surviving mother felt after hearing her only son was buried under a house.

India's former Union Minister Shashi Tharoor said news channels which are covering the disaster from Nepal, are "embarrassing and dismaying India".

Gyanu Adhikari, a Nepali journalist, told Al Jazeera that the campaign was triggered by a perception that Indian news networks were acting as PR arm for Indian relief teams.

"Indian news channels were acting as if relief teams were saving the country," Adhikari said.

"The news channels were sensationalising the tragedy and contributing to the fear of more earthquakes, fostering paranoia."

India has sent dozens of military aircraft and helicopters to help relief efforts, and has led the search-and-rescue efforts with more than 700 personnel on the ground.

Nepal's government has given out around 50,000 tarpaulins, according to UN figures, but desperately needs more tents, with just weeks until the monsoon rains are due.

According to the Nepal Emergency Operation Centre, the April 26 earthquake killed more 7,600 people and injured another 16,390 across the country.
