You know what the funny thing is, I can totally picture our security setup using such resources to peep at peeps going about their business in the name of national security.

Jokes aside, open defacation is increasingly being isolated to our rural parts. The change is visible but not complete. Urban areas do not have any such problems. Theres positivity in Knowing that this problem is being worked on by all sections of our society.

With increased urbanisation, development and awareness one can hope to live long enough to see the changes being wrought.

Kerala and North Eastern States are lowest in this statistic, incidently states with highest Literacy rates(>95%). Open Defecation is proportional to illiteracy.
Its a big sanitation problem in most of South Asia, Pakistan is doing better compared to average India, but should try to compare with Bangladesh.
With far more population density, Bangladesh with has less than 1%(2022) open defecation, compared to 7% to 10% of Pakistan.

Agreed!!! Situation has improved but BS Kuch nalayak hi rahenge.... Public property ko use karna nahi aata... Sochte hai, mera kaam ho gaya, go to hell other people...
