Jeez guys - the members club is supposed to for having a bit of fun - now people are dragging in nuclear prolifeartion and UN accusations.

I mean seriously, 'goat stealing' has to be countered with nuclear proliferation?

Take a deep breath and go drink some beer or Chai or something and come back.

Look at the context in which posts are made.

I repeat, the members club section is to have some FUN - keep it silly and informal.

Yellow journalism is no fun when national pride is under attack. Do you expect more matured responces if same case was reported in PA and discussed here?

We should be more selective with what we post.

Just my 2 cents...

.
I agree with AM for the fun Part.

But the fun part is lost when she compares with Pakistani Army officers.

"nuclear proliferation" comment could have been taken in same stride.

:) Indeed there should be no selective posting or targted responses too.

And it is no yellow journalism. if it was not real case the Indian court would have not took it for trial.

Yellow jorunalism does not base on factual happenings, here is the case is different.

And in my opinion No India is ever stopped from posting if such incident had happend in PA and if they had posted it here.

Even then ok for a minute the post of the SU as per forum rules was off topic if he wanted to discuss proliferation issue then there are threads he can discuss that there.

i Think irrespective of personal attacks, it will take only few minutes to read all the posts why i had compared it with Pakistan Army officers as your country man, an Indian had said he wonders if we would know that Pakistani forces sell artilary weapons.

My reply was in response to that.

For me the headline, the newspaper had used was something more inovative.

I did not reply to anyone in any uncivilized manner nor i had took on anyone.

Check the entire thread who had tried to derail it?

But anyway i dont know why you guys are making it an issue of ego.

Yellow journalism is journalism that downplays legitimate news in favor of eye-catching headlines that sell more newspapers. It may feature exaggerations of news events, scandal-mongering, sensationalism, or unprofessional practices by news media organizations or journalists. Campbell (2001) defines Yellow Press newspapers as having daily multi-column front-page headlines covering a variety of topics, such as sports and scandal, using bold layouts (with large illustrations and perhaps color), heavy reliance on unnamed sources, and unabashed self-promotion. The term was extensively used to describe certain major New York City newspapers about 1900 as they battled for circulation. By extension the term is used today as a pejorative to decry any journalism that treats news in an unprofessional or unethical fashion, such as systematic political bias.

I rest my case..:coffee:

And there is no exaggerations of news events, scandal-mongering, sensationalism, or unprofessional practices, in this news reported by Indian Newspaper beacuse the major in question was accused of such irregularities in the past many times.

Anyway

Coming back to the goat thread :P
