I dont want to get into that argument but yes I am astonished at the stupidity of our military leadership to have sent a 1960 era soviet fighter to fight the intruders off. From here it will snowball into a full fleged war and if it doesnt Modi will surely lose elections. Its has become a matter of national honor now.

It could not be a Mig-27 as that is never used for interception, also not Mirage-2000 because they reserve its usage for strike purposes as that is the best they have for this purpose.

In my opinion it was most probably a Mig-29/Su-30 doing CAP duty in north opposite Sakardu/Ladakh which was rushed to the situation. Can only be confirmed by PAF so we should wait for confirmation.[/QUOTE]
