Iran wanted India to provide Asian Lions in exchange for its Cheetahs, but Gujarat government till very recently did not even even permitted other Indian states to possess it's lion so seeing the futility of such deal Indian Govt dropped it. Only recently when threat of floods and an epidemic risked the extinction of the Asian lions species due to their limited habitat, Gujarat govt reluctantly agreed to relocate some of its lions in a new sanctuary in state of Madhya pradesh.

Which is dumb and selfish

One environmental catastrophe and species could be lost

Hopefully leopard population also improved in Pakistan with billions tree tsunami and other wildlife projects in previous kpk PTI gov tenure

Bte cheetah were even found in Balochistan
Perhaps could be reintroduced

Last Tigers in Pak area were in. Bhawalpur hunted in 1930s

Perhaps if our gov interesting in promoting eco tourism industry can be reintroduced in lal sohanara national park

One thing about this bs made me laugh any one who owns or understand Knows dogs that when they smell danger they bark

So how come leopard urine would shut them
Instead they would bark even more trying to get other dogs together and also to warn the approaching danger to stay away

Cheetah(Sadly Extinct)

there were talks of Iranian Cheetahs to be introduced in India but it seems the deal was rejected by Iran... so African Cheetahs will be introduced after due research though

Yes, especially if you think about it, there were/are 2 Lion clades.
Africa and Asian.
The "Asiatic" Lion was until recent times in Greece.
Even the so called big Barbary Lion in North Africa, was from this clade.
In the past the biggest - non prehistoric Lions, were from the Asian clade.
Today, they are only a shadow of the former... sadly.
The same with "Anatolian" Leopard.
Were in same class like big Persian Leopards and some African populations, 90kg a healthy male!
Or Caspian Tiger - nearly the same like Siberian Tiger.
