Thing is that PAF had tested AESA radar for block-2 much before finalizing radar for block-3 that is why it is rumored that PL-15s are active with AESA equipped block-2s of PAF, so any customer can choose to buy block-2 with AESA radar making it more capable that current Tejas while keeping cost low compared to block-3.
But range will be the problem for Tejas for maritime petrol

I mean seriously guys, one fighter comes with a free Truck to carry it, and other only Fly in sky, the choice is simple and Obvious but delusional Pakistani's wont understand that, with 50 Tejas comes 55 Trucks, that too with some extra Nemo mirchi ...
