Indian-American nexus to recruit influential Pakistanis as spies
While Pakistan is too engrossed in battling foreign funded local proxy Taliban in Swat, Malakand and other areas, the Americans and Indians have find this difficult phase of Pakistans history suitable to recruit influential Pakistanis as spies.
The American embassy in Islamabad is acting as facilitator in hiring influential Pakistani government officials besides facilitating their meetings with Indian intelligence officials from RAW.
Few days back one such recruitment attempt came to fore when the American envoy arranged a function at his residence 152 Margala Road Islamabad wherein top official were invited from CDA, Prime Minister Secretariat, Police department, national cultural bodies and a professor from Qaid-e-Azam University Islamabad.
Those who were honoured by US envoy with participation in the function includes Chairman Capital Development Authority, Tariq Mehmood, Joint Secretary Prime Minister Secretariat, Amna Imran, Superintendent Police, Mir Waiz Niaz, Director, Pakistan National Council of Arts, Tahir Naeem, Director Lok Versa, Khalid Javed, and Professor Amir Bhati of Qaid-e-Azam University Islamabad.
The more shocking aspect of this entire episode is the fact that the only other foreigner who was invited to this function was non-other than Mr. Rajinder Kumar Sherma who is an undercover RAW operatives acting as visa councilor at the Indian High Commission Islamabad.
The Pakistani nation has the right to ask the above mentioned Pakistani officials as in which capacity they have attended that function and under which authority they were introduced to a RAW operative? What is the purpose of their introduction to the Indian intelligence agency and why US is so eager to play a role of facilitator in this campaign for consolidating Indian intelligence assets in Pakistan, any farsighted person can understand it well.
The US and Indians have already started spending huge amount for buying the opinion makers for carrying on their propaganda against Pakistan and specially against its army and now this new tactic to get influential Pakistani civilian officials onboard to supplement CIA, RAW psy-ops and disinformation campaign is something which is very disturbing.
Due to prevailing security situation in Pakistan the foreign diplomats specially the Americans and British ones have virtually confided to diplomatic circles and in such a situation they resort to arrange such function to get inside information and influence those at top positions in civil departments.
Though such functions are not seen as anything strange provided if the function is open for officials from different countries but when the attempt is purely made for facilitating introducing top Pakistani civilian officials, heads of cultural bodies, police officials, academicians, and certain officials from PM secretariat, to Indian Intelligence then indeed the Pakistani security institutions should take notice of such activities.
We are already facing some grave security problems due to militants activities in such a scenario ignoring such attempts by US and India will badly harm security of the country.
Apart from being vigilant to such anti-Pakistan activities by these countries Pakistan needs to introduce rules for banning officials from attending such functions.
