Tue, Aug 18th, 2009 12:21 pm BdST
Khagrachhari, Aug 18 (bdnews24.com) Army and police in a joint drive arrested five Indian citizens with two dozen 'cocktail bombs' in Khagrachhari hill district, police said on Tuesday.
The suspected Indian separatists were picked up on Monday at Noimail in Dighinala upazila, said police.
"They said they belonged to the National Democratic Front of Bodoland, from Assam in India," Dighinala Police Station sub-inspector Mohammad Rafique told bdnews24.com.
"We recovered 25 cocktails, four mobile phone sets, three dozen pencil batteries, one walkie-talkie set, a handsaw and Indian currency from them," Rafique said.
NDFB has been fighting in Assam for over two decades for an independent Bodoland.
Rafique said a case was filed against the Indian detainees.
