Indian HocKey Team gets drubbed out of Asian Game

no actually they performed better than us in 2010

They won Sultan Azlan Shah Hockey Tournament and they were runner up in Commonwealth Games in Hockey (Silver Medal)

Yup their performance was a bit good but against Australians they looked completely helpless. In fact Asian games is a much bigger tournament than Sultan Azlan shah tournament.

We beat Pakistan 4 times in row thts the bottom line

You can beat us 14 times in a row if we are confirmed a goal in 2012 Olympics. We won't mind these 14 defeats if we get the gold in Olympics just like Asia games.

You remain bolstering about these 4 matches and we for the gold medals.

talking about India vs Pakistan in 2010.anways, india losing or not winning any tournamnet seems to give you and your colleagues a lot of pleasure, so wont comment on so many several others sports event and disrupt your rare party.

I dont care if Pakistani media uses pakistan drubs India if ever pakistan beats India...as if I would care..but it seems Indian media using the word 'drub' against pakistan has hurt a lot of people in Pakistan ..so much so that they use it for India getting out of the event even when they couldnt do it themselves...lol ..childish enough huh ??

As far as i know and the entire nation saw our people danced and distributed sweets when Pakistan hockey won the Gold.

India is the best team as we have remain the only unbeaten team in both the pools.

India won all of its games including against pakistan.

But due to a bad umpiring decision we have lost to Malaysia whom we have beaten few weeks back in CWG 2010.

If that umpiring mistake was not there we could have seen India-Pakistan final and if one go by last four India-pakistan clashes i.e. World Cup, Azlan Shah, CWG and Asian Games we have beaten pakistan in all of these matches so a bad decision takes away our well deserved Gold Medal.

Anyway we must take it as the pack and parcel of the game and not start a silly thread about it just to flame about a old news.

No one will believe you that being a pakistani you don't know that pakistan have won gold.

Not fair. Bad umpiring was not the reason at all. Indians were really going good this year. It was just bad luck.

India were also unsuccessful with the two penalty corner efforts they got, one of which; taken indirectly when Sandeep Singh relayed the ball to Dhananjay Mahadik who essayed a shot that should have gone in but for Korean defender and captain Lee Nam Yong making a goal-line save in the 24th minute.

The second half was completely dominated by the Indians who did not allow the Koreans to penetrate their D except once when the latter got a short corner award that was hotly disputed as the ball rose off the stick of Bharat Chikara, who tried to block a through pass from Kim Youngjin, and hit a Korean forward inside the penalty circle.
Luckily for India, the Koreans could not convert this gift given to them by Pakistan umpire H Rasool into the equalizer that they were desperately searching for.

The Indian defence held on to the early second half lead given by Khandekar till the end and walked off with the bronze.

The Indians should have scored two more goals but for the misses by Rajpal Singh in the 50th minute off a centre from the left by Sardar Singh.

Anyway guys! It's just a game and winning and losing is a part of game. I mean Indians were really going great this year. It was just extreme bad luck. Good luck for the next time.

Its good for pakistan, they won the Hockey Gold.....a well deserved win indeed......but its also true that the Indian team has actually been more successful than the Pakistani team (A fact and not said in some kind of misplaced sense of patriotism by me).....we only lost the semi final match in the asiad.

Also Pakistani team has been struggling off late so have been the Indians (We dint even qualified the Olympics)

This thread is just reeks a symbolism of vengeance by the Pakistani members coz of some part of Indian media (or as Jana puts it Orange Media using Orangish words) using the word Drub.
