similar experience i had recently at SHIMLA - KALKA . similar toy train and beautiful route as well . also one surprising fact - toy train is so cheap - you could travel for 14/- in general 91 km route .

There are many tunnels and bridges along the rail track.

Even though the stations are more then 100 year old - but they are in excellent condition and kept very neat and clean, below is a sign board from one of the station asking the passengers to keep the station clean

The Kalka–Shimla Railway is a 2 ft 6 in (762 mm) narrow gauge railway in North-West India travelling along a mostly mountainous route from Kalka to Shimla. It is known for breathtaking views of the hills and surrounding villages.

Below is an excellent and very human documentary. A true enjoyment as no clown steals the show. It's about trains and people who gravitate around and it does it marvelously.
