Indian Government announces FDI in many industries!!

BUt then those chinese products have to go through Indian clearances for import, India does not give permission for dumping, there are anti dumping laws in place, also these stores need to procure 30% products from local manufacturers - we are in control we can bottleneck what can be imported and what cannot.

go to north east of our country where made in china in coming and there is no stopping to them..and i am talking about low cost product from other country not specifically china,it can be any country...

We cannot manufacture cr@P at their prices and there is a market for that so let them send it across, it helps in Global diplomacy. We can put a stop to it when ever we desire, but then that's a bargaining chip also we utilize their sweat shops to satisfy our lower end consumer markets at a fraction of our cost without concentrating on producing cr@p and dedicating out manufacturing output for more meaningful products.

They talk of holding trillions of dollars in reserve, when the US knows fully well that that's the product of their printing presses and it's paper or plastic at the end of the day

suppose i want to sell product in India, if i get low cost product from china then i will retail that made in china or made in other country product...FDI in retail will 100% lead to huge job loss in india...they may recruiter beautiful face from India for there mall but will destroy Indian small and medium company...because they can't compete....don't be so small sited...dude Congress is worried about growth numbers but not the real growth....

Has that happened in all the industries where FDI is already allowed ??? The protectionist attitude is what kills the growth.. If a product can be made at low cost in China, why cant it be made at low cost in India.. ? Competition is what takes you away from the 2-3% growth rate that we lived with till 1990's to the 8-9% growth rate of last 2 decades..

I completely agree, that product should also be made with low cost in India but that's a governance problem...

It would be better if we let the low cost products be made where it's presently being made and concentrate on high value products.

India has it's riders in place and it's a 50-50 holding so good all around, it will give employment to millions and also regulate the payments to farmers who will be privileged to directly deal with them for the first time and all the middlemen who scr@w up the agri market will be washed out.

sorry for answering out of turn though.

No one strives hard to achieve that low cost till there is a reason to. FDI provides that reason.

if you look at the PIG nations, one of the reson for their failure was opening of retail.
In long term,Retail will eat the indian class who relies on selling retail products or kiryana stores etc.

Better India can sell its railways and state bus corporation to some foreign companies then there is no need of government in India.

Govt should be the facilitator and ensurer of social justice, rather than being the manufacturer of everything from comb to jet plane.

I thought PIGS failed bcs they were living far beyond their means and paying no taxes (Greece)

More to do with overspending and exerting undue pressure on their economy and investments going sour.
