Indian film industry has far more credibility than the Pakistani film industry: Fawad Khan

Through their hits dramas, Fawad Khan and Mahira have become sensations across the border, but is it also possible to see Pakistani films hit Indian theatres and make waves in India? At the moment, Fawad is on the fence about it.

According to Hindustan Times, the Pakistani actor feels the local industry needs more time to grow and blossom, as compared to Bollywood, since it has just started to mount back up again.

"The Indian film industry has been around for more than a 100 years now. So, it has far more credibility than the Pakistani film industry, which has witnessed a demise of sorts over the last 30 years. Now, the Pakistani film industry is getting back on its feet," he said.

Saying that, Fawad, who has starred in hit Bollywood productions likeKhoobsurat and Kapoor and Sons, firmly believes that the cross-border exchange of talent and film productions needs to branch out across both borders equally.

"The exchange of talent is increasing slowly. I would like an active exchange of movies too," he added. "We have been working on films and have been actively looking for talent from the Indian film industry to work with in Pakistani movies.”

He points out that this exchange is not only from his side, but also many veteran actors and filmmakers from the Bollywood fraternity. "And it is not just me. Film-makers such as Mahesh Bhatt and Mukesh Bhatt, and actors such as Naseeruddin Shah and Ratna Pathak Shah, have all been trying to work across the border. It will take some time, and hopefully, I will be one of the first ones [to witness that change firsthand]," said Fawad.

Fawad will next be seen playing a small role in KJo's upcoming film Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. The film is set to release October 28th.

No one in contradicting him as this is the fact. I think I have just given a one liner that is more than enough to bar any further discussion on this issue which normally leads to Vs posts like JF-17 Vs LCA, PA Vs IA, PN Vs IN, ISI Vs RAW, Modi Vs NS and the list is damn long...

Both the movie industries are crap.....the only difference is bollywood is rich while Pakistani industry is piss poor and this infact makes bollywood looks crappier.....bollywood actors, directors should go and take private lessons from their Iranian counterparts on how to make brilliant movies with shoestring budget and truckloads of other roadblocks

Why Iran ? Come to Kerala and learn how brilliant movies are made with low budget, but with great stories and excellent acting.
